Feeling fortunate to have scraped up 0.63" out of the Iowa scraps.

Dews have mercifully dropped to the 58-60 range, after hanging around 70-72 the past two days.

Looks like our next shot at any widespread rain will come Friday night.  Hopefully the setup shifts a bit further east this time.  Hope that comes through because after that looks pretty zzzzz.

Yet another 33C/90F+ day, confirmed I got 34C/93F, with humidex of 41 and windy. The number of 32C+ days I'm having is remarkable, overperforming nearly every day by 2-3C. Low was 23C/73.5F.

Got some much needed rain today, managed .33” with some hit and miss showers

Ratio of “thunderstorm chances” in the forecast to anything of note actually happening has been abysmal for a long time now here.

Desperately need a Wisconsin MCS charging across the lake.  Any time now.  This afternoon popup garbage avoids GRR every single time.  Trash climatology getting worse.

At this point thinking it might take something tropical heading due north to bring anything meaningful this summer.  It is so dry here the corn is shriveling up during the day and the weeds are even starting to dry up.

First *we'd* need to actually have an MCS over here. Although at least we have been doing pretty decent with the popups around Madison.

It’s even worse closer to the lake.  I at least got a couple .25” in 10 minutes type showers the past couple weeks just east of GRR.  It’s been hot enough we lose that much to evaporation every day though.

Nice cool day today. Only in the mid 60s with lots of clouds. Feels nice.

Added a couple more 90°+ days over the holiday weekend. Hit 92° on the 4th and 94° on Saturday at both ORD and MDW.
