I've been trying to pinpoint the Corona one for days using satellite, streetview, building colors in the webcam, etc. I can't seem to find it. That's a tough one because its on the Con Ed grounds. You wont be able to see a street view etc. Looks like its on what would be a continuation of 31 St, just north of 20th Av, in the Con Ed facility. Or you could say a continuation of 19th Ave into Con Ed near the end of that small inlet of water from the East River.

I know that area, I used to go bowling there a while back haha. The Corona one is well SE of that, somewhere near 50th Ave and 103rd street judging by the placement of the temperature on the map. The webcam shows it facing a regular street.

Sundog
92s in northern Queens, 96s and one 97 popping up in southern Queens. 3K NAM has a sea breeze for the south shore areas and a few miles inland, I am not sure that will be accurate, it has northern Queens and Nassau as hotter for afternoon highs than the southern halves. The problem is that red 94 is so big it covers a few blocks and since you can't zoom in anymore beyond what you posted it's hard to figure out exactly where it is. I see what you mean. I actually drove to the mesonet site in Wantagh when I was back on the South Shore. It’s located in a park just east of the Wantagh Parkway. I will bet you can find the Corona one if you look for that street view showing up on the camera.

Sundog
Can the downsloping off the moraine add anything to the temperature on the south side? It's about 150 to 200 feet high depending on where you are running west to east in Queens.

Why do they have to have 50 stations along the east River and zero micronet sites in east Queens? That one number in the eastern half isn't even a micronet site, it's Queens College, part of the state mesonet.

Downslope flow off the moraine which created compressional warming just on the Inland side of the sea breeze front. The zone this afternoon where the downslope meets the sea breeze will probably go 102° to 104° with maybe a 105° max in the warmest spots from Queens and Brooklyn into Nassau.
