mahantango#1 Posted yesterday at 11:50 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:50 AM PA Weather Plus, LLC oprosSentdlacgaa1ha3i3a2u819ml5863lm8mt70hg12ahcgh131a77g0h6 · ** MUGGY METER UPDATE ** It's generally on up from here! Our humidity will be on the increase with our comfort on the decrease as we continue to push through the rest of the week, head into the weekend, and then into the beginning of next week. Next week is looking particularly warm and humid, with increasing dew point values & temperatures climbing into the upper-80s to low-90s, dangerous heat indices will be a concern in the afternoons once again (with daily storm chances). Summer is not over just yet- make the most out of it because we know we will all be complaining in just a few months! See less — in Pennsylvania. With no real heatwave in sight, I'll call these the "happy" dog days of summer. Surely dont expect the respite from swamp ass humidity to last forever, but the back n forth for the next month would be fine by me, as the dog days are gone and the first chances of crisp autumn air showing up will be getting closer. Thats a win for me. 3

October?! Did you not see this Maryland Mauler 11 days out? Only concern is that with track like that and 540 line north of Goose Bay, ON we'll likely need rates to overcome column and sun angle issues, but were in the game! Waiting to hear MU's take before I get my hopes up too much. 3
ChescoWx Posted yesterday at 01:05 PM Share Posted yesterday at 01:05 PM Following our first 4 days with well below normal temperatures we rebound today to near normal. It will be a bit cloudier both today and tomorrow. Clearer skies return on Thursday through the weekend with temperatures near to a little below normal levels for early August. Next rain chances look like next Monday at the earliest.

Just in - he's concerned about mixing issues southeast of interstate 81 that might hold down accumulations. 3
canderson
Well my Davis weather system was destroyed by the roofers. Not on purpose, just a casualty of a full roof replacement. I might try the Tempest @Voyager just got but honestly don’t want to affix a rod to my garage again …
ChescoWx
Some folks on my FB page asked me to start running some deeper analytic dives into Berks County climate data. Below is KRDG Airport average annual temperatures vs. KPHL Airport and Chester County. 1949 through 2024. Oh that PHL UHI pulling away!

For sure a little from around 53.6 to about 54.3 at KRDG....of course we are in a warming cycle for the last 30 years....but why is PHL going up so much faster? ChescoWx
Updated 90 degree days this summer through today along with average 90+ days in a typical entire summer. So still time to get to normal at some locations. Of note PHL Airport has recorded 30 such days and Reading Airport with 21 days.

ChescoWx
We have had 5 straight well below normal days in fact this is the 2nd chilliest start to August in my 22 years of records here in East Nantmeal behind only the start of August 2021. We should be closer to normal temperatures today before we fall back a few degrees below normal for Thursday through Saturday before we should start a nice warmup into the middle of next week. Cloudy with maybe some sprinkles today - otherwise sunny and dry for most of the next week.
