Very cool! Looks like a very cool place.........
Torch Tiger
Ger/Swiss/Austrian/Italian alps are amazing, best place I've ever traveled to by far. Spent most of 3 weeks there. highly recommended, a good bit of English is spoken esp. the touristy spots, plus you can practice a variety of languages!

A really amazing country with probably some of the happiest and most laid back people of any European Country. The flight attendant on my Air Swiss flight was fluent in like 6 languages.
Angus
On my ski trip, we did Aosta Valley, Chamonix and Zermatt. Fell in love with Aosta Valley. Beautiful valley with middle age ruins and vineyards. Friends are mountain biking there next month. I've been thinking of going back at some point and renting an apartment for a few months. By car, you can hit 15 or so ski areas within 90 minutes or less.
wdstck
Spent the last week or so in Boothbay Harbor. Tuesday was the first time we saw the sun near the coast. Monday on the water was foggy and cold. Amazing weather micro climate.

HIPPYVALLEY
First concert that I was allowed to go to with just friends. We took the red line to the green line to the old Boston Garden. It was 1982 Bark at the Moon tour. Up and coming band called Mötley Crüe was the opening act.. I was 14 years old. 2

Torch Tiger
love the classic "Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow" stage backing Remember watching this as a kid, like WHOA 300,000 people...takes a lot of cajones to even attempt this unless you're a pro. And only play to the front audience, not the back, unless you're amazing

Sud Tyrol (Alto Adige) is a bit more upscale but there’s something more authentic about the Aosta Valley - and I love the stone and wood architecture. So scenic. Every year that we go back we lean more and more towards the Alps and less toward the coast. The Italian coastline is gorgeous but sooooo crowded it’s become unpleasant unless you go off season. I was surprised at how well he performed and by the time Sabbath was playing Paranoid, they were absolutely rolling. Geezer was wailing and even Bill Ward was holding his own. 2
