Brian D
Temps dropped to the mid 70's after roughly 1/4" of rain moved through. Potential for more later. Under a watch until 9pm. EDIT: Temps now in the upper 60's. Actually feels chilly. Clouds hanging around. Just south of me gone wild with stms. Might have a shot later with some scattered shwrs/stms, but not lookin good for that atm.

Chinook
Toledo area had 0.5 to 3.58", definitely some trees down with perhaps multiple rounds of storms, and there was briefly a flash flood warning. Toledo city got out of the drought by getting enough rain for June and July this month

OrdIowPitMsp
Stuff is exploding to my west, looks like a line is trying to get together with the bigger complex to my north. Getting interesting. Edit: Outflow from the storms to my north just blew through. Strong north wind and quickly plunging temps. Always cool to be outside to experience the sudden change in airmass.

Yep looks like the outflow from the storms are just about to blow through my area as well, but seems like the storms are staying to the north of us for now. Spoke too soon about this lol. 2nd day in a row with a 78 dew. Good chance we hit 80 tomorrow. Nice pool of 80-83 dews lurking just to the south/southwest.
Geoboy645
It is currently an ungodly 88/81 rn at Peoria. That is just gross, especially for 10pm at night.
Lightning
Love this heat and humidity. On vacation in the UP and have had 3 rounds of thunderstorms in 36 hours. Sadly vacation is over. cyclone77
Heat index in Peoria is still 104 with the new midnight ob (86/82). The wind is nearly calm too so it would not be a good night to be out camping or having a bonfire lol. EDIT: Still 104 heat index at 1am ob.

OrdIowPitMsp
Plenty of cloud cover but no storms/precipitation made it into the metro core overnight. Wonder if the outflow boundary that swung through killed our storm chances. At least the heat and high dews are done for now. 72/

cyclone77
Thunder crashing woke me up around 4am. Picked up a few tenths which pushes us up over the 4" mark for July. Looking forward to the action later today/this evening.
bowtie`
Well, that was fun. Morning bike ride got cut short by a slight bowing line segment. Rained extremely hard with just a little wind. So far have had 2.19" with two inches of that in about ten minutes. Was really coming down at a clip.
bowtie`
Looks like the total for the morning convection will be 2.41" here. Skies have turned clear blue and now the temps can spike. KLAF's temp graph already looks like a space launch.
