Storm total imby around 8". Co-op site on the shore 2.5". Just north of town 2'+. BIG difference in proximity from the water. So NWS forecast was pretty good. Still expecting some lighter snows as the system moves east. A colder E/NE to NE fetch coming up could bring more LES. Will have to watch for that.

this event was a totally different setup as last week's setup was WAA.

Very similar event to last Friday, with roads plowed/plows in action from basically northern McHenry County on up.

don't mind him. he was trying to back-hand troll a previous comment of mine, which is still stands correct.

12pm airport obs had 3.4” of snowfall. It’s been snowing all day but as a “white rain” if we weren’t under the heavier returns. My guess is the 6pm update will only have 1-2” additional.

Once more a couple degrees colder and we’d probably be looking at double the accumulation. UHI wins again. Should be able to snag another inch tonight with slightly colder temps.

North Shore of superior was the big winner. Duluth airport will most likely report over 20” at 6pm and I’d expect numerous 30”+ reports further up north.

A period of -SN this afternoon/evening here at ORD, with 0.3" total so far.

Additional periods of -SN between now and tomorrow night should lead to additional dustings.

Added another 0.1" during the later evening yesterday, for a snowfall total of 0.4" at ORD yesterday.

Already 0.4" of snow at ORD so far today as of noon, with some decent waves/bursts of snow moving through, with move on the way throughout the day.
