This, 100 percent.  The front grabs the band, intensifies it, moves it boldly due south and it evaporates like a fart in the wind about 1 hour later.  That 1 hour is usually fun but there is no stalling an arctic boundary on a Northerly flow.  We barely even get the scraps.

Glad I didn't  get any hope up !

Agree about the fropa...After, out here anyways, the models have been showing some minor development behind the front for a few hours...haven't checked model soundings, but could squeak out a couple 2or3"

Pics?

Yeah I'll venture out soon for some pics, waiting for it to build up a little since we got off to a slow start lol

I still think the band pushes slightly north of me for a little, keeping on the southern fringes, between 6-9pm may be the real show as it comes back south..

"That lake" is the Redfield Reservoir.  Actually Salmon River Reservoir but everyone refers to it as the Redfield Res.  Easy way to locate things up there.

Yup...the actual "downtown" community of Redfield is getting clobbered. Then, over to Osceola. That is the exact area I called home for a winter.

Heavy lake snows across Oswego county this afternoon will be brought
to an abrupt end early this evening...courtesy of an arctic cold
front that is charging south from just the other side of Lake
Ontario. Before that occurs though...another 6 to 10 inches of snow
will fall over the northern half of Oswego county between 1 PM and 7
PM.

As the arctic cold front plows south through the region tonight...
it will be marked by a 30-60 min burst of moderate to heavy snow in
most locations. For the counties lining the New York shores of Lake
Ontario and Erie...the snow will be lake enhanced and will likely
lead to nighttime snow accums of 3 to 6 inches. Winter weather
advisories are in effect for these areas. Areas outside of these
lake enhanced counties should pick up a general 1 to 3 inches of
snow. Lower amounts will be found north of the Tug.

The other issue tonight...and lasting through the first half of
Tuesday...will be bitter cold wind chills east of Lake Ontario. The
sub arctic airmass will sent he mercury to between zero and the
minus teens for that area...and with winds averaging 10 to 15 mph...
that will generate wind chill values of -20 F over Oswego county to
as low as -30F for parts of Jefferson and Lewis counties.

Random question, but do areas like Redfield and the other off the path snow king  towns get Spectrum, Fios or Natural Gas through National Grid?

My best friend is buying a house in Brantingham which would fall here. He said they get full ISP coverage which he was surprised (Not sure who it is) and also gas i believe.

Didn't know that. Thought elec or propane was used for heat and satellite for TV and net in remote parts
