rochesterdave
Merry Christmas! Into the doldrums we go. I don’t see a pattern change but January climatology should allow better chances that these sliders are more white than wet.

BGM Blizzard
Couldn't resist firing up the new Deere for the 2.5" of snow between yesterday and last night. Plowed 4 driveways in the neighborhood this morning.

Buffalo Bumble
Happy Holidays from Chaumont Bay! Some thin ice in the points around the bay, this photo facing south/southwest from the end of Independence Point. About one inch OTG here. Was hoping I could escape the rain up north here but looks like a period of wet even here tomorrow.

TugHillMatt
I woke up to about 3 inches of snow for a beautiful White Christmas Eve morning. Seems like most of the Syracuse area (outside of Clay/Cicero/Brewerton) got about the same. Temps in the lower 30s currently and snow remains for a White Christmas eve evening.

BuffaloWeather
Definitely a warm next week, will only drop below 32 1-2 nights. Impressive for late December.
TugHillMatt
Yep! Very Seattle-like next week while they get our normal winter weather. The snow lovers there are going to have a great week. I am excited for them to have a White Christmas...very uncommon. Lower places like Reno, NV and Redding, CA could see quite a bit as well.
Ericjcrash
Looks like some decent icing thru the morning for me, should be a nice look. Merry Christmas y'all

Here's the forecast for the next 20 Christmases: Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain showers. High of 45. Verification: Christmas Day Rain, mainly before 5pm. High near 41. South wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. (OK I busted a few degrees high on temps).

Thank you There was until about 4 hours ago…we had, at least in Williamsville, roughly 2”. It’s a memory now but at least through a good portion of today we had snow OTG. Here’s to a Merry Christmas to all my fellow weather weenies, your families and friends to a safe, healthy holiday…and here’s to the collection efforts we’ve been secretly holding for TugHills long overdue relocation to that lonely house in the hinterlands. May we all get a shit ton of snow in January and beyond! 1

CNY-LES FREAK
Yeah, that map is definitely wrong, especially here, about 25 miles north of Syracuse, where it's showing 2-3" currently otg. I don't have my glasses on, so I can't see shit, lol! Doesn't there have to be 1" other the morning of Christmas for it to be a White Christmas? If thats the case, I don't think anywhere will verify accept those that live on the Tug and perhaps South of KBUF but IDK about that area.Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
rochesterdave
About 25% of Monroe county should technically verify as a white Xmas. Big part of Orleans county too. But damn is it melting fast. Down to just about 1” here in Pittsford. Irondequoit is already melted. I feel like it was a Xmas miracle either way.

I’m already down to a soggy 3 inches.

Nice Officially, it has to be an inch or more on the ground at 7 am Christmas morning to be labeled a "White Christmas." But I think we're going with midnight on here. Cold air holding on so far in Syracuse with 31 degrees and freezing rain.
