2020/2021 Fall/Winter Mountain thread

Recommended Posts

Heavy snow at Cataloochee.  Heavy rain at the house.

Edit to add: my temperature has dropped from 46 an hour ago to 38. We'll see if a stray flake or two make it down to the Valley.

Winter was pretty lame here so I'm definitely ready for spring trout fishing, grilling, and watching my son play in the yard

Yall are hilarious! I think you all should be comedians.

They are just gonna cause March to be above normal and then have a crappy April again.  I say March be wintry and transition right into a great April and Spring lol.

I'm good either way brother! I just have that new kayak that I've been staring at lol. It's getting to me.

I know better than to think winter is over in Wolf. I'd just like 60° days to bookend the snow, please.

I have been thinking about a new kayak myself. I used to be a kayak instructor and miss getting out.

Sounds like a river float is in order this summer!

The Catawba has become incredibly popular for float trips and tubing trips. 10 years ago there was hardly anyone on the water

How the hell do you teach a kayak? And what do you teach it?  I had enough trouble teaching kids.

Two penguins are kayaking in the desert. One turns to the other and says, "where's your paddle?" The other says, sure does.

Let's hit it on a slow day, and release some DH trout.

Just tell me when! Seriously though with this covid mess hopefully subsiding we should do a mountains/foothills float trip, fishing trip, cookout or something
