Snowing good now even below 2500 feet here in North GA. Still too warm for accumulation though. I'd guess above 3500-4000 though in this area are subfreezing. Pretty to watch  nonetheless. Hopefully temps will be in a better spot for round 2 later tonight.

Around 1” at Topton, huge flakes coming through the gorge and basically accumulation stopped when I got to the NOC until I got to Bryson City and a trace to dusting there.  Light snow with tiny dendrites from there all the way home with little accumulation until coming up the mountain to Balsam Gap. Light dusting here with lots of tiny flakes flying. Wife said it was instant accumulation when it started due to big flakes and coming down hard. Just need to get dendrite growth fired up and get better size.

Just looked at the radar and the precipitation is drying up fast, hope Asheville can get in on the snow tonight and tomorrow morning.

The amount of snow I've seen falling this year and the amount that has stuck are vastly unproportional.

Rates picked up a little bit but nothing sticking. Not overwhelming impressed with the look for tonight IMBY. Good luck to you guys in nw flow territory though.

After hovering at 34 and light snow most of the midday, temperature has dropped to 33 with moderate snow in Maggie. It's finally starting to accumulate.

It has dumped snow here since 11, it’ll get white then melt during lulls, some of the flakes sizes are insane, hope will be able to get a inch or two tonight.

Getting some nice bursts of heavy snow in North Asheville. Trying to dig out a foundation so not as fun as it could be. Shortwave tonight should provide another shot for accumulation for many.

Leaving for Boone area now with my wife. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or B&B with good NW flow snow and a hot tub.  Something within 45 minutes of Boone would be preferable.
thanks

Crestwood is a nice place to get snowed in at.

Just cleared the continental divide on 421 and flurries were waiting on the other side. Literally nothing falling on the Wilkesboro side and as we went under the parkway you could see the flurries flying.
