Just under 3.5" on the ground now and still coming down good.  Biggest snowfall this season...in prime nwf territory at 4360'...how sad is that?

It just goes to show you how crappy this winter has been...

Well it does appear that us northern folks will miss out on tomorrow event besides adding another dusting. Hopefully bigger and better things will come soon. (No I dont mean rain, that's guaranteed)

Just imagine if the cold air was there at 10:1 ratios.

The hrrr is convinced some moisture rides up the apps. 5z actually shows some good totals along the escarpment.
Not getting my hopes up too high but it's sticking to its guns for now.

Yesterday was by far the best snow event of the season in Boone, that’s not saying much because even though it snowed all day I’d say we had about an inch. At least it got cold enough after dark to stick to the roads some. Only the second time this winter my parking lot has been white. Unreal.

Not that it matters. but at 4z on the new HRRR vs last run, precip is held just a touch better, might help the NW counties. Just noise honestly, but everything helps.

Moderate snow with 2 inches.  Looks like the best rates will stay to the south in north GA.

Just got back home there are cars out of the road everywhere. I think we might make a run at 4 inches. Best rates just stoped right at the state line.

So far an inch in Maggie Valley. Talked to a couple of folks that live around 5k and they started that 6 inches had fallen since this morning.
