70' spruce just dropped across the street (when I say just, I mean 10:45 AMish). A little punky, but besides that, a seemingly healthy tree.

When the punky part is near the base (like that giant pine that hit the van), look out!  Leverage is not on your side.

Only sci-fi (and old sci-fi at that), but if it were possible to immutably program robots with Asimov's three laws of robotics, the AI hazard might not happen.

FIT and ORH had 50kts which is good. I just think we go a little wild with HWW. It's more high end advisory.

I mean these kind of days aren't that uncommon. Most of us would know a true HWW day if it hit us. That kind of wind is a step up.

But this feels like a high end advisory, but you could certainly argue a HWW based on impacts if you wanted to GGW and recognize that criteria on wind speed/gust was unlikely to be widespread.

Hook us up with a pic, at least tweet one out like every other office is

There are actually pretty strict rules on what and how we can share GOES-16 data. For some reason.

Basically it's not operational yet, and they are disclaiming everything just in case somebody wants to cause trouble.

All I saw was a photo you poste and "another death in Oxford". No write up or anything on what happened.

I watch my porn in the open. I am transparent in that regard.

Kind of an interesting setup for someone in SNH through SNE. It looks like the chance of snow squalls may be enhanced near a meso low traversing the area. Where that little low goes....could be a quick coating to even over 1" possible. Almost a cold front looking feature south of this low with a quick band of snow showers/squall along it.

Time frame?
