Next 8 days, including today are still a super +14.    Month is already +4.3 so   (4.3x9) +(8x14) = 39+112 = 151/17 = +8.9 for month by the 18th.

Return to normal by around the 20th possible, but cold surge does not seem to penetrate too far into northeast and slips east.     Thickness will be near 5600 for sometime into April, rather than the 5760 now.

If you run through all 384hrs of the 12z GFS it's the same old pattern. A large swath of 3"+ of precip which runs from Louisiana up through the mid-west and into New England with embedded pockets of 6"+. This area remains on the edge of the "Ring of Fire" with 2-3" of rain.

if that.  Look at today/tonight, we'll end up with close to nothing as the ridge is holding its ground.
