UnionWeatherWx
Looks like a moderate drought designation was introduced for NE NJ including my county. I wasn't sure if they would but it's definitely gotten a lot drier with very noticeable effects outside. Same here. Eastern LI is in a moderate drought as well. -5.01" precip deficit the past 90 days.

mattinpa
This has been an interesting summer - not a lot of extreme heat but still a long, hot summer. PHL had 12 90s in August - more than in July. Does anyone think later summer ends and winter ends will be more common now?
SnoSki14
Capture 9-3.PNG Wow didn't know we were one of the driest in the NE, the only place worse off is SE CT.

I don't think anyone thought otherwise. If you like pleasantly warm weather then the next couple of days look stellar. A really nice way to wrap up summer and the Labor Day weekend. Going to look like the Sahara desert by next weekend.
Rjay
My station said 93 was my high. Other stations in my town were 92 and 94 respectively. Surprised. Thought maybe 90-91 at best.

Going to look like the Sahara desert by next weekend. It looks like we cool to 80s but still maybe above normal - signs of more significant cooling after 10 days. That would not be a surprise as we are even closer to autumn starting.
