Thundersnow12
Heh, I didn't get a chance to comment on that earlier but man he was pounding that hard. Did he ever explain his reasoning even?
Stebo
Did he ever explain his reasoning even? Not that I saw. Not worth dwelling on though, he was wrong. Speaking of N IL that line is sinking south as well.
SchaumburgStormer
Did he ever explain his reasoning even? Not that I ever saw. Cell near Rockford starting to ramp up, back building storms to Janesville, and a reported TOG in the north suburbs; N IL and city proper could have a long night

kevlon62
Unreal. So beautiful right now. These looking northwest. Winnebago cell is out there in distance and lighting it up nicely. Moving straight this way. More visually impressive is the Walworth County line sagging toward the state line. Obligatory train platform shot included. Geos
Just a little rain and gusty winds so far here. Much different story 6-7 miles south of here. That first pic is epic Kevlon!
RyanDe680
Did he ever explain his reasoning even? Sure. Here. Atmosphere too dry. Shear wasn't there. Cap was present. CAPE was decent. Low levels good. That's about it though

RyanDe680
Because conditions never change throughout the day... Always a possibility. Lost heating now. Dews up though. Surface winds a beetch. Any outflows around here won't last

ClicheVortex2014
Always a possibility. Lost heating now. Dews up though. Surface winds a beetch. Any outflows around here won't last The sun setting isn't always an immediate game changer. The temps tend to decrease, but that'll lower the LCL which could maintain or increase instability for a couple hours. But I guess the warm layer aloft could complicate things. Jonger
This is the worst outflow wind I have seen in years. I'm guessing 50mph gusts

ClicheVortex2014
This is the worst outflow wind I have seen in years. I'm guessing 50mph gusts Worst as in weakest or worst as in strongest? Because I'd consider you lucky if 50 MPH is the weakest you've seen in years.

Indystorm
I know the emphasis is upon svr wind and hail, but 350 to 450 helicity in nw IN se of that formerly tor warned cell is not something to take lightly. And cells westward over northern IL might stay discrete for awhile before eventually merging into a squall line.
