I see nice echoes pushing NE in ENY and W CT. We'll see what happens I guess.

I was hoping Scooter would answer on amounts

I do see what your talking about on Upton radar, those echoes in the Lower Hudson into W CT ...I think there will be a pretty good squeeze play going on as the dry air and system getting shunted SE has sorta 2 strikes against snow, I anticipate those echoes taking a right turn shortly, maybe not well c

I guess it depends on that little push into CT. My fear is drier air undercutting that a bit. I guess I would not be shocked if you pulled 1-2?

Probably context-dependent.

RGEM seemed to do great with systems with origin out of Canada and other north stream scenarios.

vs. it's handling of this southern stream frontal system was not even close.

And we'll see how Euro does... 0z last night had about 2" in Boston today.

NAM may have actually done better than both.

what did the Euro have from say IJD PVD south

The magical 100 was passed on first measure at 0545. Second hundy of my life, couldn't do a shot but since work was cancelled added a little amaretto to the coffee. Couldn't ask for a more beautiful snow to break the barrier.

I hit 100 .

Can any mets offer ideas on amounts for the rest of the day?

Awesome.

0z Euro qpf:

0.3 line roughly along IJD up to just south of Mass pike and southeast

0.4 line roughly Harftford to MA-RI border to Plymouth

0.5 line roughly southern third of CT - southern half RI - canal

I suspect those areas will have better chance verifying.

I think Boston is just struggling with dry air. The cutoff to the north will be sharp.

Too far SW. Whole thing is shifting SE.

love the explosion of echoes there as NW flow undercuts upper air divergence. Some body in PA is going to get under a band and get smoked for hours. Bet some surprising big numbers come out of the MA NJ before all is said and done
