Camden getting pounded :

THE CAMDEN HILLS WILL BETHE SWEET SPOT WHERE LOCALIZED AMOUNTS OVER 18" ARE POSSIBLE.

Pretty crazy that mid coast/DE will pull off totals in excess of most, if not any storm around my hood in the dead of winter. Seems so hard to break 12" around here.

60% of Knox County without power.

This storm did have a spring appeal like Tippy said. Temps went up several degrees as snow ended here.

Thats what you get when there's basically no cold air advection behind the storm...the airmass is actually rapidly modifying behind it. So its more like neutral advection, lol....throw in some downsloping and afternoon insolation, and there you go...rising temps.

Yeah it just had that feel of a late season event in a way for those reasons.

It's November, but still really early for snow events...so it's hard to maintain cold when precip shuts off this time of the year during the daytime hours. So yeah, we get that late March feeling.

Even October 30, 2011 was like that...the snow ended at like 5am...we had ripping NW winds all the next day but we still spiked into the lower to mid 40s with some melting.

Did you notice any interesting differences in elevation near MQE? Coming down from the Dedham hills to the rt 1 exit can be a weenie ride where 100-200' makes a difference.

Also, no official temp of 32 at PWM yet. This will be the first time they've had first measurable before first freeze.

No 32F reading at BTV either in October. Only the third time in recorded history and the first time in 94 years. Last time was Oct 1920. Also occurred way back in 1894.

Wow...that's one heck of a stat. 94 straight years with 32F temp and October 2014 can't do it. Should throw that up on social media and see what folks think.
