Decent cooling under mostly clear skies still, JFK down to 29, dp 20 at 7pm calm winds , not saying temps won't rise when the clouds move in but still the ground is cold. Cpk at 32 lga at 31.

I work in Hewlett a few miles east of the airport and they had 80 percent snow cover still , many roads were also a sheet of ice already this morning melted a bit then obviously refroze. Driving from Hewlett to Brooklyn and back every day has been a challenge, with the belt parkway, that road took a major beating in this weather , huge potholes ,a mess.

Holding steady for the last hour at 27. May have found our bottom for now. Part of me wants it to go colder, part want's it to get warmer to avoid the potential disaster of an ice storm.

Looks like it will roughly hold steady from here and maybe go down a degree or two when the snow/sleet move in later. NE winds mean no real surface warm push, so I don't think we see any warming anyway.
