Classic summer weather hazy, hot. humid. 90s on the 4th looking possible. ...hoping this will be the demise of this lousy pattern..got lucky yesterday(sat) with clearing skies..turned out to be a great beach day..but most days are not..the persistent S wind has got the ocean in an uproar and causing the high tide line to creep towards the dunes.. 71*..clouds/fog..brisk S wind here in eastport. A slightly warmer than normal month overall. Interesting that there was no official heat wave contained in the month as May 31st contained the first day of the early summer heat wave, and the recent warm spell fell short with upper 80s on the third day. It was mainly the very mild overnight temperatures via high dew points that elevated our departures, and I think we'll see more of this story throughout the summer -- high humidity doing the dirty work.
