The nam wasn't as good as I first thought...but could definitely cause some problems with the morning commute inland if it played out like the 18z nam showed. Like Brian said, everything will be melted quickly though as temps rise over 40F after 15z and don't fall below freezing until after 3z...if at all?

NAM would probably be an inch or two of slop for you but the higher up areas around here would double that.

Just a quick OT note and to put closure on Irene...

They have reopened Rt. 2 at last! Just ran to the dump and the USGS was doing a water survey on the North River. Meanwhile, just above them there were dump trucks full of rocks and front loaders working on river repairs. Not sure how that works out.

Now--back to the snow. :)

Re: Irene ... I was surprised at how fast VT was rebuilding the whole mess along SR-100 when I went up there in late October. I guess that's what it's like to be in a well run state ...as opposed to bankrupt NY.
