Just took a ride up to Mt. Uncanoonuc in Goffstown NH on the way home from my gym. It's only roughly 1400 feet high but its not far from home and has a paved road so it's convenient. Anyways at the bottom there was roughly an inch being generous and 36 degrees, but by the time I got to 900 feet there was 2 or 3 and it was 31 and at 1000' the trees were crusted over with about a quarter inch of ice. I only made it to about 1200' and there was closer to a half inch accretion and the temp at 29/30 and the road was starting to get icy so knowing I had to get back down I had to turn around or I would not be having the best time on the return trip down. But it was nice seeing every tree with ice and snow stuck to every branch.

Still trying to figure out posting images from my cell so people don't have to click on a link but I think I failed yet again.

I am to going estimate a total on par with JSpin's 10.7". I measured 7" before I left for work at 7:30am. It looked like we got another 3 - 4 inches during the day. My son and dog got to the new snow before I could measure.

That sounds about right given the MPV obs and surrounding reports. There wasn't a ton of banding per se in this storm so the totals seem fairly uniform and not highly variable from town to town like some storms. You guys are a couple ticks further south in latitude which makes sense that you would see an additional 1-2" from us.

Poster Jvt who lives in Stowe at about the same elevation as me had 9.1" which matches up well with what I'm seeing...

10" was my total. Temps were around 29-30F during the storm at my 1100 foot elevation with little snow sticking on the trees. Driving down my 600 foot hill there was a huge difference in snow consistancy with the trees covered and many limbs down. Season total is now 22". Not bad for Nov 23 with such a warm fall.

Nice! Plymouth ended up between 6" and 7" from what I heard.

Event totals: 10.9” Snow/1.19” L.E.

It snowed basically all day and into the evening at the house, but we only accumulated another couple of slushy tenths of an inch today with temperatures a bit above freezing. I used the rain gauge for the liquid equivalent, which came out at 0.03” since the noontime report. Later in the afternoon I headed up to Bolton to check out the snow and see if it was worth making turns, and boy was there a difference in snowfall just a few miles west of here as Powderfreak had said. At the base of the Bolton Valley Access Road (340’), there were just a couple inches of snow, and even up at 1,000’ it only looked like roughly 4 inches. It increased pretty quickly above that though, and here is the elevation vs. settled snow profile:

340’: 2”

1,000’: 4”

1,500’ 8.5”

2,100’: 10”

2,500’: 11

2,800’: 12”

Indeed the skiing was actually quite good on the mountain – I was worried about the lack of base, but it was hardly a concern because the snow was reasonably dense and kept you well off the bottom. We had about 1.2 inches of liquid equivalent down here at the house, and there was certainly more than that up on the main mountain. I’ve added a few additional images below, and the full text and pictures can be found in my Bolton Valley trip report from today.

Some details from the 6:00 P.M. observations are below:

New Snow: 0.2 inches

New Liquid: 0.03 inches

Snow/Water Ratio: 6.7

Snow Density: 15.0% H2O

Temperature: 32.7 F

Sky: Light Snow

Snow at the stake: 9.0 inches

We did have more snow shower activity this evening though, with another tenth of an inch that fell and accumulated easily with the falling temperatures. I’ll add that into tomorrow’s total, but it brings this event right to 11.0 inches at this location.

Just got home and measured 8.1"

I was in Saco this evening where there is only a coating. That persisted 10 miles inland and then, just like this morning on my commute, it was like a switch was turned on at the Hollis/Buxton line. The trees are heavy with snow ... looks like the dead of winter. Had a large branch come down and power was interrupted. My current seasonal take of 18.4" is nearly 25% of seasonal average.

Ahh thanks for verifying Bolton's total for me, J.Spin.... haha, their snow report only said 5-7" as of noon and I just couldn't imagine that being right given that you had over 10" at your house and we had 8-9" up here at that point. It looks like they did end up getting that 10-12" I would've thought they got.

Man that low level downsloping and warming is brutal in that area of Bolton/Jonesville/Richmond. I remember that downsloping happening quite a bit on SE flow events when I lived in Jonesville... you'd have like damaging 60mph downslope wind gusts and breaks of blue sky overhead while a couple miles in either direction it was snowing heavily with a calm wind, lol.

Event totals: 11.0” Snow/1.19” L.E.

Based on the forecast, this should be the last round of observations for this event. Currently the yard snowpack is at 8 inches, and although this is well within one S.D. for the data I have on the start of continuous snowpack at this location (Nov 28 ± 9 d), after today there are four days with forecast highs in the upper 40s and even lower 50s with some showers before it cools back down, so this is probably not quite the start just yet.

Some details from the 6:00 A.M. observations are below:

New Snow: 0.1 inches

New Liquid: Trace

Temperature: 29.5 F

Sky: Cloudy

Snow at the stake: 8.0 inches
