Wow...congrats DCA. Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat.

Can't we buy a good old-fashioned squall line around here? All I want is some heavy rain, t&l, and some wind. Seems like as a kid growing up around here, squall lines were all we had, now all we get is discrete crap.

I just hope the PG county storm can hold itself together when it crosses the bay... it has a bullseye on me :)

Ian - whats the word in DC? Looks like a good storm right over the mall

it's just south of me.. i was going to hit the mall from work but i bailed when not much was going on. may wander out to see if any cloud shots are waiting.

Unlike the snowstorms, though, the metro area got its share in late April.. tornadoes in Reston, Poolesville, and AFB are plenty close to your neighborhood.

we probably had more confirmed tornadoes in the lwx area those days than all of new england today.. they were all rather weak locally tho.

Well sure, they were almost all weak (17 out of 18) with one EF2, longer track, SW of the DC metro.

But, unless yoda is really saying he wants an EF4 rolling through his house, I think that Andrews Airforce Base video is plenty cool enough to show what a weak tornado did in the local region.
