Stebo
I'm speechless at the 12z UKIE. Considering the other 12z runs so far, I would not at all be surprised to see the Euro go back to the more phased solution. You know I thought about this, last few days it has been 12z runs more phased 00z runs less phased, surely its probably a coincidence but it is something I have noticed. JoMo
Sounds like the track that gives STL a Foot. Yeah, the storm is strengthening the entire way. barring something weird happening, there would be some good precip on the NW side of the system. Moneyman
NAM (most likley) GEM, UKIE vs GFS in terms of the phase idea so far. If the euro can jump on board, i'm liking the trend then. I'll say a suppressed solution for the euro though. (hope I'm wrong)
weatherguru
As I was saying yesterday this looks like a STL to Chicago special. Climo does not favor a western lakes cutter. Usually thats early Dec settles east in Jan. I see your worried now about a westward trend Alek. I see 12z GFS looks a bit more organized here. baroclinic_instability
Why do people use "Miller A, Miller B, KU" on this forum? Isn't that mostly an east coast thing? Yeah it is--only people it may be applicable to is the OH/PA folks as uber Miller A's may catch them as they track up the coast. It would need to be a bomb and a massive one at that. A KU doesn't necessarily have to be a coastal/Nor'easter and may be more applicable even though it was made for the NE states only.

cmichweather
Why do people use "Miller A, Miller B, KU" on this forum? Isn't that mostly an east coast thing? and typically the energy to form a miller b is associated with a clipper that hits people in our region before cyclogenesis occurs on the east coast.
