  1. Some sleet and freezing rain here. 4th time in the last 5 days I've recorded a trace.
  2. Flizzard in N. Bethesda. 3rd day in a row for a Tr.
  3. We've had on and off flurries here since 10:30.
  4. Eyeballing about 1.5" in N. Bethesda. What a difference a day makes!
  5. It seemed like inflation was hitting him hard. 48/40 here
  6. .5" in N. Bethesda. Waiting to see if this new band adds anything to the total.
  7. My favorite was March 8, 1995. I remember mowing the lawn in shorts and a T-shirt in the afternoon, and coming out of a photography show with my dad around 9 at night to upper 20s and 2-3 inches of snow on the ground. Wind chills were in the single digits the next morning.
  8. 41 here. This is the first day since 1/3 that there is no snow on my deck. Quite a surprising run.
  9. 38 with light flurries in N. Bethesda. It'll be close to see if the last small patch of snow on my deck from 1/3 melts before any reinforcements arrive tonight. https://oceancitylive.com/ocean-city-webcams/ocean-city-beach-cam-inlet-view/ A great site for OC webcams: https://oceancitylive.com/ocean-city-md-webcams/
  10. Wow. It's been a couple years since I've been on Amtrak. Excited to hear they've upgraded the WiFi experience from Prodigy 1.0 with a 300 baud modem.
  11. Down to 12 here. Coldest of the year.
  12. He found it "dreadful" because one of Ben Franklin's models had predicted 48" a few days before...
  13. Obs: 39 with rain on snow on snow on snow. The glacier, which has been on my deck since Jan. 3 is really hurting. Doesn't seem reinforcements are on the way. These morning rush hour storms put the schools in an impossible position. They have to decide on a delay by 5 AM and a closure by 7 AM. With the forecast at that time still calling for a changeover around 8 with possible accumulation, so they take the safe option. Otherwise, they risk getting pilloried if a school bus slides off the road. Glad I don't have to make the decision.
  14. Widespread 90 mph on Radarscope over the bay/Charles Co.
  15. 2.75" in N. Bethesda before the changeover to sleet around 5:45. 28/26
  16. 24/15 in N. Bethesda. Snow on snow on snow on my deck!
  17. 4 inches of new snow here. Snow depth up to 8 inches.
  18. Actually made it down another degree to 17.
  19. For it to be truly fitting for this season, I think it would need to break a limb...
  20. Our community (private roads) have been plowed. I haven't been out beyond that, but Rockville Pike looks clear on the traffic cameras.
