  1. .06 here. Really impressed with how we managed to get missed N, S, E, and W.
  2. Agreed. Looks like a shelf cloud and some scud. Still, cool pics!
  3. Yeah, they've been going all around us. I'm at less than .2 inches for the week...
  4. It's tough to tell. I doubt that guy knows exactly what happened because it the rain would have blocked his visibility. All the tree damage I can see seems to be unidirectional (to the car's right), but the fairly narrow corridor of damage seems more suggestive of an embedded tornado rather than a microburst. I'm sure NWS will send a survey team given the damage and the concurrent rotation visible on radar.
  5. Very interesting. It's tough to tell with the resolution, but it doesn't seem to be rotating. As always around here, the dang trees get in the way...
  6. It looks like the picture was taken from the roof of a parking garage at Columbia Mall: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Columbia,+MD/@39.216361,-76.8613105,32a,35y,197.4h,78.81t/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x89b7dfb06369a051:0xf0d6bd65b687635d!8m2!3d39.2037144!4d-76.8610462 From this point, the two high rise buildings on the left of the picture would be almost due south, meaning the light on the left side of the picture would be coming from the clear skies to the east and south of the line of storms. So, assuming he's using an extreme wide-angle (~10mm) lens, this picture certainly could be legit.
  7. I had a great view of that as it passed south of my office. There was definitely some lowering and broad rotation. Skies were about as green as I've seen them as the line was rolling in.
  8. Does anyone have a screenshot of the couplet? I didn't see anything when I looked, but my loop may not have gone back far enough.
  9. He just needs to face Trevor Rosenthal. Something will have to give!
  10. 11/15: 2.0" 1/12-14: 11.5" 1/17: 2.0" 1/29: 1.25" 2/1: 1.5" 2/10: .75" 2/19-20: 4.75" 3/1: 1.0" 3/8: .5" Total: 25.25"
  11. Just had another line come through with a brief downpour of graupel. I'm putting a (final?) TR in the books.
  12. Good call. Had 3-4 strikes within a half-mile.
  13. B. Over 25" here. January storm was awesome, plus 3 other sled-able events for the kids. Snow pile in the parking lot made it from 1/12 to 3/12. Would have loved for a good week+ cold snap, but otherwise a very solid MA winter.
  14. .5" in N. Bethesda. A bit more on the grass/dirt.
  15. Dusting here and coming down at a good clip.
  16. Flizzard in N. Bethesda.
  17. I suppose it depends on what you mean by "best". If it's just the above criteria, I would think the LES belt in update NY is the way to go, probably somewhere around Syracuse. If you want to trade is some of the snow for greater cold, maybe look somewhere between Minneapolis and Duluth.
  18. 39 here. Hell of a way to run a snowstorm...
  19. Looks like we ended up with around an inch in N. Bethesda.
  20. Really sorry to hear that. Cancer sucks
  21. Same here. Nice speed and defense to help on the 4th line and PK. And didn't give up anything of value. Big improvement over DSP and Jaskin. Hopefully, DSP can get his ass in shape over the next month-plus, and come back in time to enter his Playoff Beast Mode.
  22. 58 at DCA 56 at BWI 49 at IAD Solid call by EJ, as always...
