We acheived snow globe status here for a while, but no accumulation. Temps dropped 10 degrees with the passage of the front down to 34. Let's hope this is the start of a nice wintry period!

Any drizzle is excessive. If it's going to rain, just get on with it.

About 1.2" last night. Strobe-like lightning and thunder. Great show. Would watch again.

Ended up with 3.83 for the day. Over 20% of my total for the year.

Up to 3.3 for the day, and over 2.5 inches in the last 50 minutes. This has been one of the more impressive hour-long rains I've seen.

Absolutely dumping in N. Bethesda. I picked up an inch in the last 15 minutes, and it's still coming down hard. Up to 1.8 for the day.

There used to be a spot near White's Ferry that was really dark. Not sure how all the sprawl in NoVa has affected it.

The aurora are visible down to NC tonight. Here's a shot from VA. Anyone seeing them in the metros?
