  1. Past hour
  2. I've been telling myself the same thing! Even though I am looking forward to spring gardening weather, I still get that awful feeling when I am in the midst of a snow bust. Years of being a weather weenie school teacher messes with your emotions when it comes to snow. lol.
  3. Nothing sticking yet but snowing nicely. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
  4. 33/32 snowing. Week looks to hover near / below normal with more rain/mix or snow towards thu. Wed - beyond above freezing during the day will melt the piles quickly vs last month.
  5. SPC mesoanalysis page 850mb winds (Version 2) is pretty nice. You can see some of the convergent winds over PA down into NoVA. That's a good indicator. Also watch the radar from PA down into MD/VA for localized reflectivity maxima orienting into a line. That's a good indication it's starting.
  6. Cars and grass have a coating now and currently SN, temp holding at 33 with dp 33.
  7. State of Emergency, including only essential travel, goes into effect at 6pm until further notice.
  8. Looking at the CHART cams. RT 50 & 301 is the farthest west on the shore that has snow accumulating on the ground. Significant accumulations halfway between Chesapeake College and the Outlets.
  9. flake size improving, visibility decreasing, about 3 hours earlier than I expected there to be steady SN, albeit light atm, but about a half inch new so far, starting to see so nice banding setting up south of LI
  10. Chonky flakes since the flip about 20 minutes ago.
  11. Got it, thank you. Appreciate you posting it! Is there any other free sites people use for radar - specifically for tracking heavy banding? That accuweather radar UI is so crisp, love it
  12. I’m pretty sure this is the norlun band setting up on the State College radar.
  13. It’s trying. Temps are definitely dropping. Come on snow, be the storm we know you can be!
  14. Still mostly rain at 300’ in Frederick, though it’s trying.
  15. Live in Mechanicsburg but work in Montgomery county. currently have a blizzard warning here. almost called off of work today too. Glad I didn’t. I hope I can manage to drive home in the rain lol
  16. This is an instant freebie from the NWS - https://radar.weather.gov/station/KDIX/standard I use a doppler program (purchased) - GR2 Analyst.
  17. Moderate snowfall. Getting last coffee for the day.
  18. 35.4°F temps falling again after a high of 37. Still slight drizzle, some frozen precip starting to mix in again.
