  2. seems about right. That will help me.... i was close just have to move the 3" line down a bit
  3. Many thanks to all who contributed to this thread - wow you guys sure know a lot about the big ski resorts! Those places make Mammoth look like an Allegheny foothill.
  4. Gentlemen, this is the Mammoth Mountain Resort. I know its April but these guys are starting to get hosed down but good by snow and may get 2-3 feet by Monday morning. It's really coming down right now! https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/woolly-cam
  5. Huge SOI crash continuing, strongly negative. -30’s for the last 3 days. 30 day average is negative and continuing to fall
  6. Maybe we'll get a big snow into our area this upcoming winter,Nino does fairly well with Moderate to strong Ninos, they always produce, but the winter in whole should be AN temps, typically Dec should be fairly warm.
  7. Here you go guys- I am the Township Manager of Lowhill Township. You will find this pretty neat. The smoke could probaly be seen all the way To Red Skys house https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA7GFlTinxw
  8. Hmm, maybe because the old measurements are biased low? Snowfall measurement: a flaky history | NCAR & UCAR News
  9. I had 32 and 34 the last 2 nights respectively
  10. 6 of their top ten winters have been after the turn of the century….4 of their top 5 have been after the turn of the century. Interesting for Marquette.
  11. Its funny youre being your usual smart ass self when I made one comment on an alleged newark dataset i didnt know existed and had never seen. Its funnier though that you always ridicule snow amounts from notorious low snow decades like the 1930s or 1950s when the weather bureau was well established and records detailed "there must be something wrong with how they measured". But a random snowy dataset with minimal info pops up from the 1850s and its gospel, no questions asked.
  12. They still have a 36” snow pack. Probably a glacier you can walk on at this point. .
  13. I hated the Ambrose Jet afternoons where you'd see a pleasant Central Park in the 70s but 40s/low 50s and 40+ mph winds at home. At least here we usually get a couple more hours to warm up before the strong winds make it this far north.
  14. Unreal. This may go into the annals as the most pleasant spring in the history of the City of Pittsburgh. Already up to 29 days at or above 60F (T-most), and 13 days at or above 70F (T-3rd most). Tomorrow will be close to 60F, but the ensuing 6 days are 70s and 80s. Count on those two should be 35/36 & 19, respectively, by next Friday, with even warmer temperatures possible next weekend.
  15. 59 today. Much warmer to the north, south and west. Hopefully we can crack 70 next week
  16. I'm sure the observer in Toronto was lying about how much snow used to fall as well.
  17. Likely will have watering restrictions by summer too
  18. Lots of talk of media talk of a Super Nino next year. That would mean a very warm winter around here
  19. We can only hope. Like that’s never happened in mid April before…
