  1. Past hour
  2. Or, Cano could just not suck. He's been hit or miss all season. Yeah the error hurts, but you gotta just move on. Too many head cases on the pitching staff. Baz is another who gets on himself for something he can't control. Tough loss, but team is playing better overall. Just have to keep winning series.
  3. Typically the lag is 2-4 months, so the fall is when we should start seeing a more textbook look for the current Nino in the Northern Hemisphere up to the mid-latitudes. I've been projecting mid to late fall through the winter as the time frame of interest for an increase in precipitation chances with the STJ becoming much more active.
  4. Having to work down here on an emergency contract with the NCDOT. Not my favorite place to be lol.
  5. There’s been a noticeable region wide precip shift over the past 3 weeks.
  6. put almost a thousand miles on it for that trip
  7. What ya doing down in the lowlands, @Met1985 ? I would think the heat/humidity combo would be intolerable for a mountain man such as yourself! (It’s intolerable for us, too!)
  8. The May error is the problem all season. You make that play, Cano doesn't get rattled and they probably get out of it.
  9. Yep. That was intense! Finished with 0.63 inch of rainfall and about a thousand lightning flashes. Lots of wind, too.
  10. And even in those three seasons, the average in Boston was 31” - BN to be sure but still 75% of normal - not that bad, and well above a couple of garbage years recently. Certainly not the end of winter. .
  11. Big time storms fixing to blow through Dallas and Gastonia.
  12. How do you find WeatherFront compared to the host of other apps / sites?
  13. Maybe it’s just me, but a warmer and wetter winter, just has me on edge for freezing rain. Which I despise for obvious reasons.
  14. Brief heavy rain dropped .31" in about 10 minutes.
  15. Ice storm is typically a -EPO/+NAO pattern. Sometimes El Nino's have -EPO.. historically they have not but I contest that the sample size is smaller in this regard, it's little more could go either way being a 50-60N index.
  16. Worst line of storms I’ve had at this house since I’ve lived here
  17. @40/70 Benchmark and the rest of you with a clear head. What are your thoughts on ice storms this winter?

  22. Ice storms are my major concern this winter. I’ll be getting the old generator up to snuff this fall!
  23. Pouring again with booming thunder. Enjoyable storm.
  24. Beautiful sunset here. Final days of post 8pm.
