  1. Past hour
  2. Same here with temp down to 37. Flakes should soon be mixing in.
  3. It is convective (low-topped in this case) with severe wind gusts thus handled with Severe Thunderstorm Warnings.
  4. It's settled down here so I guess I'm in the clear. Ironic since breezy point had a tornado a few years ago - a ton of trees were destroyed and a lot of house damage. Hopefully this wasn't a repeat.
  5. Might get some closer to home storms in the GoM, or maybe some sub-tropical storms out of the areas of shear. There seems to be a lot of very warm water in areas above 24 degrees north.
  6. Why am I being warned (weather radio and texts) for severe thunderstorms when there is literally no lightning? It's a squall line. Warn for that, if anything. It's been a weird weather day with the warnings. Are they all relying on AI too much or something? It's giving my mother fits.
  7. The wind right behind the low-topped line is gonna roar for some. KLNS is up to 45 mph sustained and gusting to 60 mph. Brother in Lancaster just lost power
  8. Breezy as the front went thru Humidity 90% Wind Speed W 26 G 60 mph Barometer 29.45 in (997.2 mb) Dewpoint 57°F (14°C) Visibility 1.50 mi Last update 16 Mar 9:54 pm EDT
  9. It is sleeting now - should say mixing in with this heavy precip
  10. That's what the warning said. Looking at the radar it seems like it would be out over the bay now but I'm gonna hang in the basement a bit longer because it's very windy out. Sounds like a train.
  11. 1.38” from the storm. Night lightning and thunder while at top golf
  12. Today when driving home 270, Beltway and route 50 exit the standing water and flooding because of clogged drains was insane. I had mentioned to co workers that the amount of trash on the sides of the roads is crazy . That excessive trash is the reason for the flooding on the highways. Can we clean up the roads government its excessive. Rant over
  13. Yikes has it been confirmed at Breezy Point? My phone got a broadcast message from the county government. Power is back on here.
  14. This is why I hate severe weather. Sounds like it might be just NE of me but it's crazy windy out. It's all fun and games until it comes for your house.
  15. That report shows "wind gusts estimated 65-70mph" in the LSR on GR2AE. Not sure why the numerical value is 81mph. Also not sure which line to believe lol.
  16. So much snow in my hometown in WI they’re using this loader and a huge John Deere tractor with a silage blade to clear out. Roads impassable for regular snowplows.
  17. I thought the cold front would have a more impressive radar representation on approach. The line is fizzling out a bit, but the snow behind it looks impressive. Hope we can cash in for an inch or two.
