The clouds and humidity made me a little whiny this morning because of a important project im working on. The conditions because perfect at around 11. The wind flipped NW and the dry air flooded into the lowlands. I worked until 7:30 and got it done.

He’s hilltop climate and exposed. The air never stops moving and if it does, the cold drains down the slope. -

It’s a hilltop . Highest hills are always warmest on fake nights . And coldest on real nights -
High of 97. Interesting that at 3:50 pm we were at 97 and then an outflow boundary came thru. No rain but the temp dropped 10 degrees in less than 5 minutes. In 20 minutes it has dropped to 81, still no rain. An hour later when the sun came back out, the temp climbed up to 87 before slowly dropping after sunset

Enjoy the heat and dews while you can. The Captain has come over the intercom and asked us to extinguish our smoking materials and put our seats in the upright position. Our descent into autumn has begun! -

I wonder why you hold onto the heat so well. I’m not suggesting that you don’t, but what is different where you are vs here. Similar elevation. You are mostly surrounded by woods, right? -
A little over a half inch of rain today in two showers. The ground is so we, extreme heat should be off the table. It does feel like the tropics here lately.

Sunny with highs in the low 70s and dewpoints in the 40s. Boring as ever but you can’t really beat it comfortable wise in late July. Already down to the low 60s and most likely headed to the 40s tonight. Who says we can’t get low dewpoints in the summer anymore? lol

Yeah 10mph NNW wind in the valley.… 68/48 there. All baked into the Champlain Valley climate normals. It’s been the coolest spot relative to normal because of that the past few days. BTV is -4, -4, -4… while we are -3, -3, 0… despite cooler overall temps (not including today yet). -

Nice weather like today, I’m sure your kids enjoyed the Whites. If it was HHH, could’ve gone swimming. There’s an activity for all weather, ha. -

We're gonna put together a pretty impressive streak of daily 70+ dews. May make a run at a 2 week streak. Also will be some 80+ days mixed in as well. Signs we may see some relief around the 31st when we finally get a blast of drier air.

Can't complain one bit about this airmass. Dew points actually dropped below 70 for the first time in weeks at my place. The morning's drive home from work will be glorious. Sunroof open kind of nice. Currently 85/65 at the office and 82/71 at mi casa

There’s literally nothing to make anyone think there’s a chilly shot next week that I see other an op run . That Bermuda high is going nowhere. It’ll be humid right thru day 10 in my opinion -

we'll have a few cool days lol There is certainly no support for anything record-breaking or even impressive, just a relatively cool airmass -

I was using it as an example. I didnt even look up the departure. Detroits winter was 27.5° which was -0.9° 1991-2020 departures. But again. This turned into more than my intended point. My entire point is that everyone in the U.S. did not "feel" a 34.07° winter avg temp. Some places were warmer and some colder relative to their own averages.
