  1. Past hour
  2. I don't think someone has to get screwed here. More interaction and a low closer to the coast should backfill nicely. Maybe on the NW side of the low, wherever that ends up??
  3. God, I hope not. Did not get a flake out of that one in Forsyth county!
  4. Less here than Euro as well. Euro has 6-7 here while it has around 5.
  5. METAR KORD 302051Z 03006KT 1/4SM R10L/1800V3000FT +SN FZFG VV010 M08/M09 A3036 RMK AO2 SLP295 SNINCR 1/3 P0003 60007 T10781094 55001
  6. Point forecast dropped to 90% and that terrifies me lol. Euro drying out also sucks.
  7. According to the models how is this storm stacking up to the Carolina Crusher from 2000? Is it safe to say this one will be extremely similar?
  8. My heart is broken and the storm hasn't even arrived yet. Man I just want an EASY snow for once. Always have to worry about temperature/mixing or moisture or now dry slots....even when tracking for the past week has been hella consistent showing heavy snow. It's so exhausting mentally for a hardcore weenie lmao
  9. I hope you are right, sir. One thing for sure, somebody gets screwed.
  10. Most Models continue to show Lee County getting downsloped off Black Mountain or it being a footprint of bad Data being fed into the Models ingest System from the Pennington gap Site or both. About a half inch here on grassy areas now with lt snow falling and 26.7 degrees.
  11. All we need brother 20 mile north trend. I dont think thats asking for much considering how many times we have been screwed on the north trend to the DC folks Come on snow GOD"S hook us up PLEASE
  12. My yard has been riding the line between 3-6 and 1-2 and I've pretty much been expecting 2-3" tops but being so close to whiter pastures keeps me interested in the idea of a more impactful event. The 12z euro ai/euro/gfs all bumped better qpf northward. Not a ton but all 3 did and it's encouraging. If 18z does the same I'll be more confident in the 3-6 idea. Ratios will be high no matter what. Blacksburg's AFD stated 15-20:1 rations and I believe it. Upper level lows are often fluff bombs and it's plenty cold. I could potentially get close to 6" on .30qpf. RIC could get 4" on .20. Time will tell. Keep expectations low and enjoy the F out of a boom if it happens
  13. Wild day in Minnesota sports. The GMs for the Twins and the Vikings got canned on the same day!
  14. Patchy sun and 26.6º here in the Gap, waiting to see what we get out of this! No snow on the eastern side of Watauga yet. Never seen this before, but it could very well be the first time everyone in my family sees snow at the same time. I'm in Boone, Dad is in Lancaster, daughter is in Columbia, and my brother is in Charleston! Definitely the only time we have all been under a winter storm warning at the same time! Gonna be wild! Oh, anybody got any ice melt?
  15. Are you sure you are in Pipersville? They haven't gone below zero yet. However, forecast for tonight is -3...
  16. Yeah that's a little glitch in their system lol. If you go to Wakefield and then click on the winter symbol for the winter weather, down towards the bottom, it'll bring you to a more current map which came out at 2:45 PM today. That's where you'll see the 1.7 etc. I don't know why they don't update this map on the main page.
