  3. lol. it didnt make it onshore into central DE. would've surpassed a foot within an hour or two, but already at 10" anyway. good enough
  4. ~3" on my back deck, a little bit of fine snow and 29.4°F. Kinda waiting to see if the winds will pick up, it's dead calm here. Local plows are having a nice, easy night, plowing what little slush there is.
  5. I'm in Camp Hill. Not far at all. We got very lucky. That one nice band width was basically only from Mechanicsburg to city island. Sent from my SM-S731U using Tapatalk
  6. That spear like line running Nw to se through area is pummeling me with my 1” ph and 2.5” in last 3 hours
  7. Regardless snow will be gone by Tuesday probably. Certainly Wednesday. It gets to 50 by Saturday and Sunday. With next chance of snow Monday March 2nd. Realistically we have the next 21 days to add to total before we reach the point where a 6" snowfall is a 1 in 20 year event. All told when looking at the statistics over the years and studies one is left with the hard truth that despite all data and computer power, over 80% of variance in yearly snow in the mid Atlantic and northeast is due to essentially luck, and it took an ungodly amount of data and computer power to even get it down to 80% since it's basically an exponential function. One can at least measure this luck. And over the past 5 years we have been as unlikely as we were lucky during the 2010's. The 1940s hold the title still for unluckiness but we are easily in line to beat them unless we spit out a couple 50" plus seasons out of the next 3 years. But just like other runs of luck and bad luck it won't last forever. Within the next 10 years we will almost certainly have a 60" plus season again which I will truly savor. 8. 5 1 /2 in New City ,,,,,by the way an hour ago we lost power for a few minutes but it came back on,,,,,,,,,winds are picking up here,,,,and the Fireplace is also cranking and roaring
  9. big band is going a little west of us right now. have to wait for another.
  10. A reminder of what rippage looks like for y’all.
  11. Man HRRR is insistent we make it to 20" here in the city.
  12. Had a lull down to just light snow for a couple hours but really picking back in the past 30 minutes. Great snow growth and drier than earlier. 7.8" Board cleared. Measure again around 7am.
  13. Gives hope we can at least salvage 12-20 BOS-PVD and southeast
  14. Finally beginning to see some rates compensate for the marginal temp layers and strong winds here on barnegat bay. Didnt anticipate staying awake long enough to watch it happen, but I wanted to see where the deform band was going to set up to the west. Also embracing an extra day off from my daily winter gig. Final Thoughts : I've seen plenty of inside/on/outside benchmark systems roll through over the years. This is an interesting one, that will warrant plenty of post-storm analysis from mets that know farrrr more than my anecdotal-mind is capable of understanding. Ill spare everyone my rant about modern "modelology," but would hope to see a moderator consider opening a thread to discuss the GFS performance for the current system. The "lock" was early, persistent, and unwavering. I like to give credit where it is due, especially when the signal was picked up at an impressive lead time. I hope everyone has a great night, stays safe, and has an opportunity to put work aside to enjoy the important things tomorrow. Be well.
  15. Yup. Exactly. But IT GETS WORSE!!! I Left NYC for this because My Home was the Jackpot by almost every model… And LOOK WHAT HAPPENED!?!? This is the ULTIMATE INDIGNATION!!
