  2. July 1911 was a weaker version of what we got this July 2026 closer to our area. Also note that the cooler weather in mid to late July 1911 which didn’t occur this year. Those old time heat waves were often followed by much cooler conditions than we get these days.

  5. Low of 46 this morning... might be able to squeak out a 60 today. Point has 37 tonight for my location. Will probably see some patch frost especially if things go a degree or two colder. Frost advisories for Iron, Gogebic, and Baraga where upper 20's could be seen in the coolest locations. Interior portions of Marquette County will likely see frost too but advisories for this County are geared heavily toward the city.
  6. For a few days before the 60s DP return
  7. Getting some thunder here, steady rain and .18” so far
  8. Models were showing a hole in the LSV. Great win for TX. .
  9. The lows in NYC run cooler than the surrounding urban sites like LGA and EWR. So the tree growth is probably lowering the minimum temperatures also to some extent. In the old days the NYC minimums would average closer to or warmer than those sites before the excessive tree growth. 10. That radar is pretty nuts. All that moisture advected into the stalled front.
  11. this forum has taught me that it is almost always possible to find "guidance" that supports the forecast one prefers this forum has also taught me who is posting "forecasts" based on personal bias, and who is posting guidance as they try to figure out the ever-changing forecast 64/64 and rain
  12. Following its wettest summer on record, Bridgeport has now picked up 2.43" (61.7 mm) of rain today. That breaks the daily record of 2.12" (53.8 mm) from 1971. Heavy rain continues to fall.
  13. Yeah, this is the heaviest downpour since the summer with plenty of street and parking lot flooding in my area. Southern CT has really been the focus of the heaviest rains. The complete opposite of last summer when we had record low rainfall.
  14. Was there last night with my son too! So so good. They sounded awesome and the whole production was perfect. New drummer was incredible Radar looks good for a good soaking here in Raynham today
  15. Doesnt look like the Warm front has made it more than 10 miles from the coast?
  16. Finally got the rain we’d been looking for. Picked up 1.30” overnight which brings event total to 1.57” and MTD to 1.59”
  17. Slightly damp this morning. No measurable rain. Came down Furnace Mountain after doing some critter care. Driving on the side of the mountain into the mist listening to U137 amongst the tall trees and ferns.
  18. So jealous of that big rain shield over SNE. I would have loved an all-day rain while watching football

  20. Sure gonna be nice to have the DPs crash during the day tomorrow.
  21. Those records from early July 1911 are absolutely wild. 98, 99 and 103 on three consecutive days and no other day from that location's entire history above 95! On the same day it hit 103 there it also hit 103 at Newark and the all time record high of 104 at Boston and it was 101 all the way into the Green and White mountains I think they're at a higher elevation than Mt Pocono? That was some heat dome Chris!
  22. Yea it looks like the worst of it is now to your east.
