The same people complaining about this winter right now will be looking back at it fondly in 5 years, possibly next year if the El Niño becomes strong. -
Well, it is reasonable. Just not detailed. some could see 3, some 0

It’s too late in the season for wimpy snowstorms. Mecs or above is the only option. -
No one is getting 10-20 lol.

It's a bizarre thought process. Almost afraid to be hurt emotionally so if winter ends happens they won't be hurt. Funny people -
That's where GYX is for here, while channel 13 has us in the coating-2" color, and a lot closer to nada than to 2-4". Yesterday it looked like a whiff.

Looking at the upper air Charts at 36 hrs out there's a minor difference between the two that appears to yield to the drastic difference; The Vort in Alberta orientation. The Strong LP west of Californica appears to be the impetus for that in comparing the EC and GFS there. Shows how minute details can evolve into major differences.

If not early Morch there. Limited QPF SoP tomorrow and whiff Monday. -
The Euro does give us some snow Sunday but it's during the day with temps slightly above freezing. It would be a colder surfaces deal.

I'm not so sure there would be a flood risk from the snow melt alone. Despite the smaller storms we've had and the one biggie, I think we're continuing to run a deficit in the the precipitation column so I think the ground could absorb a quite a bit of snow melt. Now, there could maybe be some issues which arise from ice jams and so forth. -

They’ve all been for the past 3+ years and the fails keep piling up way faster than the blown 10-20” calls.

This is a good follow on social media -> UC Berkeley Central Sierra Snow Lab 2/19/26 8:30 am Update - the atmosphere is clearly showing off: 1-day : 25.6" 2-day : 54.9" 4-day : 92.5" And just in case you thought we were done… another 8–16" expected TODAY. At this point, the snowpack is basically building an extension onto the lab. Send snacks. Or a shovel. Or both.

Also, after that stretch we had in January to the first part of this month, these temperatures aren't bad lol. Actually feels nice walking outside. I am sure in another month highs of 30's and lower 40's will get old but until then we enjoy
