We have been dry. I’ve especially noticed it with the irrigation ponds at the golf course. They are low. The rain overnight and a couple of days ago was nice, they type that soaks in. I would still like some more though.

Pouring buckets here..perhaps our most impactful region spanning rain event of the summer season is upon us. On another positive note, we still got a few hummers buzzing around the feeders and making the rounds before they make their inevitable journey south once again. It’s always sad to see the little crazy-hyper, sugar addicts leave until next spring.

I don't think this is accurate. Weather phenomena don't have "functions". They are the outcomes of atmospheric processes and don't actually have purposes.
