  1. Past hour
  2. 18z GFS breaks 6000dm in the Rockies the last few days of July! Interestingly, this is the August correlation to PDO (for negative like we have now, the correlation is opposite)
  3. i'm getting everything this year, including cantaloupes i didn't plant, and plum tomatoes i did not plant......due to the cool spring i planted broccoli late but i got a bumper crop just as the heat hit; i've got peppers and eggplant out the wahzoo, but tomatoes are not ready yet. starting to get cherry types now.
  4. It went wild tonight. Every time I looked at the slider in family room and picture window in front there were 2-3 more. Fly swatter mashing them on the window. Dogs going wild . What in the sam hell is happening
  5. That storm in Loudoun looks mighty interesting
  6. That storm coming down the Potomac looks healthy and supercellular.
  7. Well, this one did not end in heartbreak.
  8. On latest radar I see it's breaking up a little bit. I don't think it's gonna be too bad.
  9. Yeah, it looks like a brief dip in the dewpoints Fri-Sat snd again on Mon. So this could cause a break in the 70° minimum streak since early July especially outside NYC. But it will be interesting to see if the more urban sites keep the streak going.
  10. That's really weird. It happened to me today and I never have house flies. Absolutely no idea where they came from.
  11. 0.02” here as well. Up to .75” for the week. The brief shower did drop my temp from 91F to 83F. DP still 77F.
  12. Storms are weak here. Gusted to maybe 30-35. Not much rain. Some low rumbles. On to Saturday.
  13. And nevertheless, it's pretty cool that you're observant of these things, lightning bugs are just another thing that I evaluate to score my summer. Cicadas, katydids, lightning bugs frogs, crickets, storms and the periodical cicada. remove any one of these from Pa summers, and I would probably move somewhere else or hang.
  14. 6 (or more) tornadoes today in Wisconsin, with somewhat marginal shear
  15. Horrible. Hopefully it will move along fast enough that we can avoid more flooding.
  16. Anyone else have a massive attack of the common housefly tonight? I literally just killed 12 in the house. No clue where they came from . Full blown attack mode.
  17. Ahh that sucks! Saw the radar/reports when I got off work and was thinking you probably scored today.
