  1. Past hour
  2. I would say we saw 50-55 mph winds as it came through. Tornado warning just to my SE.
  3. I saw a weak wall cloud Not much going on, too crazy, after that. Just heavy rain, trees in town didn't shake violently or anything. Not a lot of lightning
  4. Assuming things dry out, there could be another opportunity.
  5. Manheim/Lititz and eastern Lanco got wamboozled this afternoon.
  6. Yeah, I mowed part of my yard and I think my lawnmower was sick cause it was blowing chunks.
  7. I had a buddy send me some pics of decent flooding in Manheim. Looks like some spots up there got damn near two inches in a half hour, including a half inch in five minutes at one point. Intense.
  8. Got a quick 1/3” at home from that batch, but my actual location during the storm near Costo Allentown must have been at least an inch. It was a torrential downpour and heavy storm. .
  9. we had it in the morning you're getting it now.
  10. I agree, I guess I am asking that if the chances are higher than normal for both NYC and JFK to hit 100 degrees at least once in July, like they did during the 2010-2013 era.
  11. Not shabby. Move the decimal one place to the left at that’s about where I’m at.
  12. Yesterday
  13. I expect July and August will both be warmer than normal. The pattern that is now evolving will likely be the dominant pattern this summer. I don't think next week's excessive heat will be the last such outbreak this season.
  14. Yeah. If dewpoints really are in the mid 70s, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a lot of low 90s for highs. Nights on the other hand are going to be awful.
  15. Man... Can't even go half a day without f'ing raining! Ughhhh
  16. 1.2” in 5 downpours lasting 3-10 1minutes and between 6-6:29 about 6/7 huge close by lightning strikes
  17. Everything skirted me all day here. It was wet everywhere when I got off the train in Mount Joy but not far into the drive home the roads quickly became bone dry. Just a couple hundredths at the house.
  18. I’m cautious and a bit paranoid, so I wouldn’t necessarily use them in a closed wall, but “shark bite” fittings make home plumbing so much more of an enjoyable task.
  19. any early call on July, Don? a continuation of the heat? do you think it will reach the magnitude of 2010-2013 or will it be somewhat less than that?
  20. Some epic rainbow action in DC right now. https://ibb.co/9H6nXMTL
  21. Yeah. It seems people that don’t follow the weather always have this misconception that drastic daily changes in weather and or extreme heat or cold never used to happen. It doesn’t help when any media story about the weather basically reinforces that idea.
  22. April 2007, in addition to being cold, was really wet. I think it was the wettest April on record at PHL. If only we had that wet pattern in February, we could have done some epic snow totals that month.
  23. unexpected convection and blow off cirrus will keep it in check....almost always does. It'll feel like summer, and the lighting bugs will prosper. Good stuff.
  24. Generally speaking from heat-waves in the past with dews that high, the temps seem to under-perform a bit around here. Be interesting to see if that will happen this time around, especially after this deluge.
