Here's a timelapse I shot from the storm start til about 8:30pm. I'm still shooting and have another camera going as well. I'll post those tomorrow.

I was so prepared for the potential of power going out with this storm. I ran the generator yesterday (after draining the carburetor and cleaning it out), gassed it up with plenty of extra gas at the ready, and had it all staged and ready to go. I had all batteries and wireless chargers charged up, plans in place for keeping as warm as possible for a few days, etc. In the grand scheme of things, I'm really glad I didn't need to put any of that plan into action, but it *is* a little bit of a bummer that I couldn't at least have seen some of that that hard prep work put to good use!

Nice round of sleet added another 1/2” to the total, so I’m at exactly a foot between all the snow and sleet. Looks like that does it. 26.3 and sleet, 30” even on the season. It’s been real.

IMO the CAD won. We never went above freezing in the southern part of upstate SC.

Speaking of Feb 2nd, I have it on good authority that Punxsutawney Phil will predict six more weeks of glaciers!

Just crazy. Still ripping at WXW1. 11 degrees. Probably at least 15 judging by the yardstick. Biggest event since moving back to CT.

Not uncommon when dynamics are weak; you can wind up with freezing drizzle as things ramp down (or don't ramp up - looking at you March 2001!).
