  1. Past hour
  2. Steady moderate rain in Calvert for a good two hours now. Looks like a ways to go to. Been a long time since we've had a dark, solidly rainy day like this. Occasional thunder too.
  3. Radar around dc looks prime. Frederick? I will accept the light rain showers and look forward to the warm front lifting north.
  4. Will this be the pattern all season? The west steals our rain and we get breadcrumbs if the planets align?
  5. Appalachia stole all the rain. Some of the pictures and videos coming out of there are impressive. Honestly surprised it wasn't a Moderate Risk of flooding.
  6. was chilly last night i had had to use a portable heater and will do so again tonight..
  7. Yesterday there were rain chances all the way to Thursday, now there's a decent chance all of them go down the tubes...
  8. Yesterday
  9. Heat kicked on. This spring…i mean enough already
  10. Waldorf mesonet site almost an inch of rain in under an hour. The 2-inch and 4-inch soil moisture values aren't climbing, therefore it's likely all running off.
  11. @jaxjagman I am more interested to see what the Fall of 2025 will potentially bring in terms of severe weather as I am looking for my first solo chase of my storm chasing career/hobby.
  12. Rafael dever's gone. People are bitching about it when just a month ago all were saying how much they wanted him traded and how much contract we'd have to eat. Good move if you ask me.
  13. Extremely big bust this afternoon in central NC from flood perspective. Picked up 0.08”
  14. Ha! The Sox traded Devers away to the Giants
  15. Yeah, there was an outbreak at Deep Creek State Park’s ridge but by early July those trees had leafed out and recovered. Should happen with the new outbreak areas this year too. When we were sitting out on our deck Memorial Day weekend, I couldn’t believe how many of those caterpillars were covering our deck furniture. Now seeing the leaf damage, I get it.
  16. Yes it's a complete shock and people had to go to storm shelters just like they would for a tornado. Satan's Storm, what a name! Burnt cotton fields requires some intense heat.
  17. Flash flood reports in that convergence zone south of DC.
  18. Those temperature swings are insane. I am surprised no cattle or humans were killed or seriously injured by a heat burst that raised the temp 40 degrees in 5 minutes. I cannot think of any way that a heat burst like that could be predicted.

  20. If they continue to play well up to the all star break it definitely makes their trade deadline plans merky.
  21. Last couple days here has been mostly clouds and smoke. Only a trace of rain despite higher odds in the forecast thre last 72 hours. Month-to-date rainfall in Middletown, DE only .76 " The crazy high rainfall totals of May over 6 " unlikely to repeat. Might need to water the garden tomorrow, as the overall soil moisture levels have been declining the last 7 days. Long gone are the values above 32 % , in this area soil moisture has declined back below the 5 and 10 year averages of 26 % The clouds and cool air are masking the recent dryness.
  22. Got the lotion and tissues out for this stretch?
  23. Indeed! But oy...we'd still have to beat history though. To date, no team that's lost by 20 runs has ever made the playoffs. I see a scenario where if we play really we may just miss. Even that would still bode well for the next season though! Just wanna see them at least make a run at it if they get closer.
  24. Going to be impressive for a few days
