  3. At midnight 16.0/7.1. NE wind 5 gusting to 11 mph. High was 28.3, we seemed to hit a spot between 1-3 pm where the clouds went to just high cirrus and winds calmed and we warmed up. Actually not a bad early afternoon. Still haven't seen a snowflake, although just 40 miles south Roanoke has reported a few hours of light snow.
  4. Can we just start ignoring the op gfs? Especially at lead times we shouldn’t be looking at any operational frankly.
  5. I was the same way but I can’t imagine Billy making that up. However he lives up on a mountain I believe. .
  6. Just looking at it you wouldn't think so. My depth measuring area is +/- 500 sq ft. Mix of sun and shade. After the initial settling, here's my (GYX) average depth readings from 12z each day. Tuesday - 14" Wednesday - 13" Thursday- 12" Friday - 11" I suspect tomorrow we'll be at 10". Not implying we'll lose an inch every day (assuming similar conditions), but to say there's no loss in depth is incorrect. Check your local nws climate site.
  7. Hopefully, it will improve here (have a bad feeling it won't tho), stopped for awhile now, dusting blowed off, and bare ground.
  8. So, we're just going to do this weekly until spring?
  9. And the second storm just misses Atlanta with the jackpot, otherwise it would be 2 20"+ storms in 72 hrs. Has to be one of the most entertaining fantasyland runs in years.
  10. I think the state record is -37, lets shoot for that.
  11. Wat!? Unless he's on Beartown or up on Big A no shot. I'd be shocked if Lebanon went nuclear and Honaker didn't with how the radar has presented. That said microclimates have shocked me in the past. That said I like this drone shot he did which looks about right. https://x.com/i/status/2017405886688354344
  12. Nearly 5 inches into it, MRX upgraded my 1/2 inch forecast to 1-2 inches.
  13. In long range GFS world, North Carolina is the new Jay Peak.
  14. Weird variations out there i have 7F but a cluster of -2 to -6F central Bucks Lehigh Valley in the range of 6F to 8F
  15. i'm so confused. nothing makes sense. dry slot, no slot, a foot of snow, no snow, who the hell knows. goodnight
  16. I would think it would behave in a normal counter clockwise way. But the edge nearest moved north, south, then east over the last 30 minutes.
