At midnight 16.0/7.1. NE wind 5 gusting to 11 mph. High was 28.3, we seemed to hit a spot between 1-3 pm where the clouds went to just high cirrus and winds calmed and we warmed up. Actually not a bad early afternoon. Still haven't seen a snowflake, although just 40 miles south Roanoke has reported a few hours of light snow.

Just looking at it you wouldn't think so. My depth measuring area is +/- 500 sq ft. Mix of sun and shade. After the initial settling, here's my (GYX) average depth readings from 12z each day. Tuesday - 14" Wednesday - 13" Thursday- 12" Friday - 11" I suspect tomorrow we'll be at 10". Not implying we'll lose an inch every day (assuming similar conditions), but to say there's no loss in depth is incorrect. Check your local nws climate site.

Hopefully, it will improve here (have a bad feeling it won't tho), stopped for awhile now, dusting blowed off, and bare ground.
