  1. Past hour
  2. No kidding! They get demolished so much! I need to learn Japanese!
  3. Fascinating hobby-originally from New Jersey and was in New York for the blizzard of '96. That was a little west of Atlantic City for the 1978, PD1 1979, and big snowstorm when I moved a little closer to Philadelphia and South Jersey in 1983-Feb 10/11. Living here south of Richmond obviously tough to get that kind of stuff but still it's fascinating even the tracking!
  4. I can see empty sky and the moon. Gonna need some backfill clouds to start with. LOL.
  5. No idea when it’ll hit freezing again here. Certainly will be longest stretch since I’ve lived here. It’s been something like 9-10 days since it hit 20
  6. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1CGDj9PEb8/?mibextid=wwXIfr Get ready, let’s go!!
  7. 32 is going to feel absolutely balmy next week
  8. Signal Mtn in with a dusting and picking up. Very fine snow. .
  9. The weather was awful when I was there in the first week of August every day cloudy with NE winds 20-40 mph and you couldn’t touch the very rough oceans. It was strange too ocean water temps were 80-82 but the air temp as like 76 with the wind and drizzle from time to time. Sounds like a great weekend get away! I mean a shelter in place don’t think I’ve ever seen that before geeze.
  10. US National Weather Service Pittsburgh PA denosrpSotg4g41424617um1ui168am2m0f3h9h352700216lgl0m25ffa69 · We were asked about having sunshine in January. Lake ice coverage on Lake Erie is a big factor for this, as higher ice coverage shuts off a main moisture source when we have northwest flow. Lake Erie ice coverage was 2% on January 14th. It's hovered around 95% since January 27th. Rapid ice growth!
  11. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1CGDj9PEb8/?mibextid=wwXIfr Lets go!!
  12. Oh goodie. Now I will see a dusting only probably.
  13. Oh man so you’re like me, you know extreme cold and extreme snow! Man Rabun is gonna be sitting pretty! 4-7” looks very likely up that way! I’m hoping we can get 3”. If we get 3” down here in Winder that’s a huge win! 3-4” would be our biggest snow in this part since January 2011! We had about 8” during that storm and the biggest storm in GA since I’ve been alive. I still think 2-4” for MBY is likely! .
  14. Im a natural gas trader, you should look at the Feb contract. Went from being dangerously close to slipping below 3 dollars to rolling off in the mid 7's, feb was a wild ride.
  15. No misery this season. If February can be cold and snowy, Winter 2025-2026 could become a really special winter.
  16. Perfect radiational cooling conditions right now especially in low lying areas. Currently 8 degrees
  17. Got me salivating in Hillsborough a few miles south, but can’t taste it.
  18. Just came in from outside. It's down to 11F already here NW of Vienna. This may end up being the coldest night yet in this run. Took a walk in our front yard on the crust. Was cool hearing the "thud" of each step as the crust flexed with each step. It didn't cave in though to my 250+ lbs. Brought back memories of growing up in Ohio and trying to tread lightly on thin crust w/o breaking through.
  19. Live vicariously. Time sensitive
  20. I was hoping for the freezing spay that crusts everything in ice like Subzero from Mortal Kombat.
  21. @Holston_River_Rambleris the ULL back towards Arkansas right now?
