  3. Cfs2 and Euro are starting to look verrrrry similar. Still have the NMME, Jamstec and JMA fwiw. In the end, the +precip looks to be a lock, so it'll be up to whether we can squeeze just enough cold air from the north. I could see a train of disturbances coming along with the first being rain, but pulling down enough cold in its wake to setup snow in the follow-up system; or even rain to snow or snow to rain prevailing throughout the season. I think we should have a hint of our chances by Thanksgiving since the 5H looks pretty uniform thru the winter months.
  4. First ones popped up in southern CT in the late summer of 2024. Last year wasn't nearly as bad as this year, this year they are as common as flys.
  5. Lol right? These are the rarest days around here
  6. really? i only noticed them this year, i thought it was a recent thing.

  8. H5 looks about the same for the winter months. Feb-
  9. Finally got my PWS back up. Had to reset the wifi connection and the console itself. It's 51.2°. Unfortunately it lost the rain stats.
  10. Good news from MOB…. https://x.com/nwsmobile/status/2107184041338306801?s=46&t=0ZvB_AF2VfA6c0SDxf53yA .
  11. 1877-78 was known as the year without a winter. Interestingly a very powerful el nino event that year.
  12. Yeah infested here now for a couple of years but turns out they are not as damaging as once feared...

  14. Today
  15. Said the same this morning huge gust out of nowhere
  16. Beautiful day after the fog burned off. High was 72.2 about 45 minutes ago. Currently 69.7/40.9 at 3:50 pm with almost perfectly clear skies. A very light NNW wind at 3 mph. Temp probably going for that dew point overnight.
  17. Consistently more windy today than during last weekend's Storm of the Century...
  18. We snow, legit flakes as this squall moved through at 3,600ft. Temp 35F.
  19. you have it backwards as usual monthlyseasonalsnowfall.pdf monthlyannualtemp.pdf mean temp in NYC is 57.5 - many Octobers with a mean temp 60 or above had below normal snowfall for the season
  20. First official snow today on Whiteface in Lake Placid. Lows in the 20s tonight.
  21. Depends on how you define "very early" and "storm", but several of the very strong Ninos have featured big early season snowfalls: 1997, 1991, 1972. All within a week of Halloween.
  22. This could get interesting regardless of strength if it’s not a fast mover. I’ve already had 12.69” (PWS) this month alone. Keeping my eyes on it for sure. .
  23. They are loaded in CT. Everywhere i go i see them it's pretty wild.
