Same here wrt the frost.

What area are you moving to? I left Calvert for Germantown when I got a DC based job and it paid off in quite a few winters. One time I had 8 inches on the ground and got off the train at Union Station to bare ground and rain. Now I'm back in Calvert for family and space LOL Got to 40 here. I'm hoping to keep my flowering plants a few weeks longer
-
I figured they'd be -18 this morning. Meh Managed to hit 39 this morning!
-
Down to 36 inside the beltway here, maybe a degree or two lower in open spots? Pretty cool for mid October in these parts, I was surprised to see us that far into the 30s. Of course, other than tonight and tomorrow am, doesn't look like I'll see 30s again anytime soon lol. With the recent rain I'm hoping for a brilliant color foliage season.

29.5° will do it for the low this morning

It moved westward, reaching hurricane strength on the 13th before hitting the Yucatán Peninsula on the 15th as a 110 mph hurricane. Pensacola had winds of 120 mph at 10:13 am when the wind instrument tower was blown down. 1930 - A big early season lake effect snowburst on the lee shores of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario produced 47 inches at Governeur NY and 48 inches just south of Buffalo. (David Ludlum) 1948: Birmingham, AL had its earliest freeze. (Ref. AccWeather Weather History) 1984: Heavy snow began falling late on the 17th at Salt Lake City, UT and by the time it ended on this date, 18.4 inches had piled up to set a new all-time 24 hour snowfall record. 40 inches of snow fell at Alta in the Wasatch Range. Wilma peaked at category-5 intensity on the 19th, with a minimum central pressure falling to 882 millibars (26.05 inches of mercury), the lowest pressure ever recorded in the Atlantic Basin. Wilma also became the most rapidly-intensifying storm on record, with a maximum-sustained surface wind speed increase of 105 mph in a 24-hour period. 1991: Nearly four inches of snow fell at Rochester, NY, the largest snowfall ever recorded so early in the season there. from 33 to 37. Coolest since April 21st. Cooler the next 1-2 days then the onshore barrage keeps it overall near - above normal and outside of the cut off /low and storm pushing clouds / light rain to the coast Tue, it looks generally dry / partly - mostly sunny highs mid 60s - low 70s in the warmest inland areas. Ridge pushes east towards 10/26 so overall warmer to clsoe the month looks likely. 10/18-10/19 : Cooler than normal - freeze/frost inland 10/19 - 10/26: Overall near - above normal prolonged onshore E-ENE-NE flow , storm stays offshore but may bring clouds/rain coast ELI-ENJ 10/27 - beyond : Ridge into the east overall above normal

Frost to the ground and 31 this morning. -

Central Park managed drop to 41 with calm winds. The temperature is now starting to climb. I guess in our concrete asphalt UHI domain with limited radiational cooling, calm winds are less of a factor. As always ….
-
Yup, in the cold spot here, 23/23 for the low, as above. Just came back from my coffee run...nice!
