  1. Past hour
  2. He did but you know how the nfl goes. Look like shit one week then like an mvp the next…
  3. Yeah, it was a good pop for sure. LC has been adamant(and right for the most part) so far this winter. Looking forward to his updated Saturday night.
  4. Well it sounded like from the tone of your posts that is what you were questioning. Bx Engine is a hard working guy and I don’t want to tie up his valuable time with disputes that didn’t exist then. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s hard to read intentions on an online forum when you aren’t meeting face to face with someone.
  5. So south jersey can get 4” because of fast progressive flow, by ny metro cant. Lets break that down scientifically. Explain plz.
  6. I just think we are fighting climatology at this time of year. The deeper TRI gets into December(as evidenced by the sneaky system overnight), the better chance we have at lower elevations. I would suspect the NAO will fire at some point. I "suspect" the worst of winter probably sets up shop in the northern Plains which is not always a bad setup for us. International Falls was a number I watched as a kid. If it was cold there, I knew cold was coming here! That didn't always work out, but that was my "teleconnection." During the 70s, we must have gotten a lot of sliders. I always watched Memphis as well. If it was snowing there, it made its way to Knoxville where I grew up. My general rule of thumb was trying to get one snow before New Year...if that happened, then winter was on track.
  7. Might be. Dry air will be eating away at the precip shield as it moves ENE. Could be a scenario where SW CT does a lot better than SE MA outside of the Cape.
  8. NAMs and HRRR show Litchfield county getting some bonus snow tomorrow night too.. Watch them jack
  9. Amazing that almost the entire state of Ohio will see snow in that panel.
  10. Are you in that good of running/endurance shape? That's a pretty long run, especially round trip.
  11. Lamar had Cincy a couple weeks ago and was ass. But he ran a bit more last week so maybe the hammy is doing better.
  12. What is the timing for this event Saturday night? Have to run to Philly and want to try to get back before roads go south.
  13. Something tells me 1-2” is going to be hard to come by outside of the cape. Just a feeling.
  14. Coz has always been a good long Ranger. Could be right about last half. If so, even with the mild period, it would turn out overall a cold Winter, especially going by this Era's Standards. Glad you had a decent Score over there with this one buddy ! You were under the same bands that moved over here.
  15. By now every player has been well sampled, one would think a solution would be narrowing.
  16. A world with some ensemble temperature support is where LOL
  17. I mean what are people really expecting with a very fast progressive flow?
  18. 89-90 is definitely a concern during any winter where we start fast like this one - lots of cold and snow. That said, this winter just seems like it might have some more fight in it. I always remember 95-96 not being overly cold, but I was in Knoxville. We just hit jackpot with every cold wave. The storm track was nearly perfect by January. I kind of divide my winters up like this. Pre 1990 and post 1990. Post 1990, I really enjoyed 92-93, 93-94, 09-10, and 14-15. Whichever recent year we had that howler of a cold front hit on Christmas Eve..that was fun. Prior to 1990, I just remember the 70s as generally having several consistent winters, and of course 84-85 which is my favorite winter of all. Lots of negative QBO winters in there, and that might be our saving grace this winter as well.
  19. C-2” deal except maybe south coast and Cape can still get something a little higher.
  20. @Mount Joy Snowman you will appreciate this I'm sure (and so may some others as well): At 8:00AM on February 11th 2010 I had an average snow depth in my yard of 41". That was by far the deepest snow cover I've seen in my life. February 11th was a sunny day with a high of 32.7 degrees. My snowpack at 6:00PM that evening was 32". After a sunny and 36 degree day on February 12th my snowpack was at 20" at 6:00PM that evening. In less than 48 hours I lost over half of my snowpack without the temp even reaching 40 degrees. A combination of compaction, sublimation and melting destroyed the record snow cover. Much is argued about every year about snow accumulating in the last half of winter due to sun angle. I think it's been proven that rates will overcome that well into March as long as temps are also supportive. Having said that, LOSING snow cover is a huge deal on sunny days in February due to that very sun angle. It's very hard to maintain snow cover unless their is ice built into the pack. This is where a period of sleet can do wonders for us if we can get past the fact that it's diminishing our accumulating snow...in the long run, that sleet is giving our white gold staying power. I always try and remember that when heartache sets in with the onset of pingers... At any rate, that is why I covet snow at this time of year.
  21. I apparently had a bit of very light snow overnight. I suppose it's officially a trace, but I'm still surprised this far south.
  22. I would suggest banning the Pope for a couple weeks based on his post to Steve. No reason for that. It's weather for Christ's sake. This is not what we're here for. Just sayin'...... Mods?
