  1. Past hour
  2. Busy day celebrated my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. About .15 fell during the party this evening.
  3. All the time, specifically the rock piles and harbors.
  4. Had some gusts around 40 and hardly any rain in lynbrook. Seemed to skip over me and restrengthen further east. .
  5. i got .57 inch. It was badly needed. I feel for the farmers. I was hoping for at least 1" in the next week or so but I just do not see it. At least the grass will stay green for an extra two weeks. The base flows in the Little Lehigh are at record lows right now as none of this rain got past the topsoil horizon. I see drought emergencies coming in the next month for some areas.
  6. Wow a brief downpour with a gust of wind, then a bit of lighter rain. Didn't amount to much ofc but nice to know its still possible lol. 0.07" !!
  7. At least a good band of moderate rain formed behind the storms that fell apart, so we are getting that quarter inch here. Maybe as high as a third of an inch. Just enough to give the garden a decent watering.
  8. Also this insane cloud of pollen out of one of our pines.
  9. No rain yet, but we have large limbs down with the gust front a few moments ago. Heard them cracking and saw one fall across the street.
  10. Two thing CoastalWx will go on and on about, Animal House and Rocky IV!
  11. Just a bit outside. Nice thunder just to the north of my house (pink dot). Hopefully the SW CT storms hold together all the way here.
  12. Thank you!! I love it so much. one floor living is where it is at lol. Just a pain to unpack everything now plus I have come down with a cold or something like it. ugh.
  13. Pretty good wind gusts here maybe approaching 40 mph
  14. Strong winds here before the rain hit. 39mph. I am sure quite a bit higher at tree tops.
  15. From earlier this evening. There was a brief period of gusty winds followed by a brief period of moderate rain.
  16. Winds gusted to 37mph at both my stations.
  17. At Mom's barbecuing in Lafayette with family - storm had wind, rain, brief small hail, with lots of lightning. Below severe threshold but still fun - 0.70" in my gauge over there. Back home, 4-5 miles as the crow flies, only 0.2". Zooming in on radar did show an intense pink spot over Lafayette that produced the brief hail and intense rain - and much less over Sparta. I guess it depends on where you were, but it sounds like it juiced up again heading into the city. I'll take whatever we can get - looks dry again for the week ahead.
  18. The severe forecasts north of Anne Arundel County have been more hit than miss this year.
