I think this is it, to be honest. Seems like Nothing good on the horizon. We now have to wait until March to see if we’ll have a 2015 or 2018 redux. We’ll need it in order to reach average here in NYC. I just don’t think we’ll reach it. Still way better way, best since 2021, and the cold has made this winter even better. But I think we’re done with the snow

I want to take a moment and thank @katabatic for amazing hospitality and a truly fun trip out to Western MD and the Canaan Valley region, including a slide over into Davis, WV. That was such a fun day of friendship and loving every moment of winter. It was a truly deep winter day with temps in the upper teens to low 20’s with snow falling the entire day. Saw all of the intensities too from light flurries to heavy snow. The Arctic front capture is a moment I’ll never forget. That was absolutely wild. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen something like that. Likely since 2/14/15 up at college. Would do it again in a heart beat!! Thanks again @katabatic!! Now I have excuse to come up there since we never got a chance to eat at Englanders

It's getting dangerous upstate. The power outage in the Village of Watkins Glen is due to an overload of the system believed to be from increased demand due to extreme temps. Village Electric is asking that everyone turn off unnecessary lights and other electrical items that may be causing a load to the system. Also you are being asked to limit electric heat to only what is needed to directly stay warm. If everyone can do their part the system may be restored. Please share and inform anyone who may not see this post. In the mean time the Watkins Glen Fire Department is opened for a warming station if its needed. The direct number there is 607-535-7700 and if no answer please call the Sheriffs Office and speak to an Emergency Service Dispatcher at 607-535-8222.

Kill all the dam mosquitoes and a lot of the ticks... why would anyone want warmth! It only breeds! Cold kills.

As they say…thanks for your service. Not an easy job. Especially for those that deliver the mail on foot.

Accumulating snow stopped here at 7:30am just light flurries here and there after that -
It pains me to say this but thank you Tar Heels. If we win tonight, we’re tied for first. That hasn’t happened much during February for us in basketball. Makes me think we actually get another storm or two because anything is apparently possible this year.

Starting to feel better in the sun during the afternoons even when we get to around freezing. Noticeably getting higher in the sky now.

This looks warm in the East upcoming For what ever reason, the CFS shows this tropical forcing with Rossby/Kelvin Waves into the WP/MC,but its been over amplifying this since fall, but its still a warm look, Seems like to me this is fixing to become a active severe threat up past as we get further alonginto,FEB,with the MJO,GAAM,they both seem to be coupled rather well right now

You don't want it to get this cold. Why would you want that? What's the purpose? -
