Yesterday you got it, today I got .70" Monster rains for a few minutes and some epic bolts. I may get one more quick downpour in a few: Edit, it is here
-
I wouldn't let my guard down in Northeast NJ from Northern Middlesex through Union Essex Counties as of right now can hear thunder here in Northern most Middlesex county as a storm is developing in Plainfield area - should use a sensitive radar app that can zoom in and that updates every 5 minutes
-
I got 1mm from the system that gave a few flashes & thunder at 11pm. 8 out of 10 t-storms this year have been between the hours of 11pm-3am. I got just that one okay tstorm a few weeks ago to break the smoke but even that is garden tier nothing much; a solid tstorm in mid summer here is rare. Today is mainly cloudy but the cooler air felt good 22C/75F. Smoke in the high levels causing mod AQI 75.

Hrrr has us in the screw zone but it will change every run so who knows
-
Yeah its moving almost due north from somerville

At least we've gotten a good amount of rain in July which knocked our area back down to a moderate drought after being in the severe drought. i was hoping for some heavy rain today though. This early round is mostly missing our area, but we'll have to see what the potential round for later tonight does. Maybe we'll get some decent rain from that one around 9 or 10pm.

No surprise. I was puzzled when they issued the warning for northern Middlesex County because you could see on radar that it was going to go northwest of here.
-
Radar looks to be converging on Morris county on north
-
It expired
-
Severe thunderstorm watch for Gaston county until 8. Man is it humid outside today.
-
Yup will be a bust here. HRRR takes the stuff in central PA south of us too. What we need is a tropical system or remnants of one to get some major rains

Radar not very promising despite the warning for northern Middlesex County.

.11" from that one. Tried its best to split right around me, but still got grazed.
