  1. Past hour
  2. Possibly…was just pointing out that there’s been some events since Isaias…although we are due, and I think we see some action starting in a few weeks.
  3. Glad she’s ok. Christmas Eve 2013 my 21 year old son slid off the road with his two younger brothers in the snow squalls that moved through that evening. They were also ok but it’s nerve wracking for sure.
  4. And don't forget about Nino 1+2. That was in el nino mode all winter long.
  5. They had up to a half inch in northeastern NC overnight. I wonder if anyone will post a rare snowliage shot from out there.
  6. Many accidents in Sussex County, including my 18 yr old on the way to school. Thankfully, she’s okay. Trooper got 6 more calls while writing up the report. He noted the icy conditions as he himself slid while pulling up to the scene.
  7. Neat to see the cold air pushing clouds away from Florida.https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=subregional-Florida-truecolor-24-0-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=undefined
  8. @donsutherland1put together and posted this excellent table in the SE thread that says a lot about how historic this cold is in the Deep South:
  9. Majority of ASOS's LI and nw NJ have had their first flurries between 7 and 9A. Not sure of mean first date of T. I thought it used to be in the LCD. Can't seem to get XMACIS to look at Trace or greater, first-last date. Minor so unless someone adds, will let it go. I'll take it as a positive.
  10. I think he’s looking for something that kinda gets you excited versus events like that.
  11. Nice! I didn't measure until this morning so there has definitely been a lot of compaction since yesterday.
  12. Stephen...I am truly proud of you. Welcome to the "no heat" team. Although, it's time for a confession - I might have turned my heat on last night when I went to bed. It was already down to 60 in the house and I was getting looks from my wife...
  13. My in-laws measured a bit over 1 inch in Black Mountain. They must be at lower elevations (near Owen HS) than wherever @Hvward has his home.
  14. December of ‘20 was a great snowstorm. So was Feb 1st of ‘21…both double digits(a foot plus) and great winter storms. Then the Super Bowl event a week later in ‘21 was 8-9” too. I believe all of those were after Isaias. Blizzard of ‘22(not for here) but for a big chunk was another. Feb 14th of ‘24 was excellent here with 13”. So there’s been some action. But ‘25 has been stingy.
  15. Really impressive. Orlando near freezing this early in the season is amazing
  16. Congrats VA Beach, Atlanta, Charlotte, Outer Banks on their first flakes. Hopefully we get a bigger storm than New Orleans this winter lol. 29 here in the lowlands this morning. Beautiful stretch of weather on tap. I love outdoor fun this time of year.
