Ya it looks like several rounds of showers and storms for many Sunday PM though Thursday. -
Last chance of rain likely for the month today and I’m sitting about 3” below normal (just 1.52”). If we don’t get a flood today (unlikely) then that will be 11 of last 12 months BN precipitation here. Only saving grace is we received about 4 months worth of rain in July!

As you probably guessed I was certainly going to try and view the lunar eclipse two nights ago. The forecast looked bleak but I tracked satellite trends and made my west to an area just north and west of Siler City, NC (near Liberty, NC). I was able to break out of the clouds to mostly clear skies and got this at the peak:

We’ll see what it looks like tomorrow morning, it is just now moving into the TUTT. It actually found a microscopic break in the worst shear last 2 days but it is heading into a wall of 30-40 kt shear my guess is NHC is banking on not much surviving, we will see

Maybe it's because we've had 2-3 flood watches over the past 15 days and have had only 0.18" over that period? -

I will say, even with not much of a change in airmasses you can just feel the weight of the changing season each day…that sun taking longer to climb the horizon, not feeling as intense midday, getting dark earlier, foggy mornings, etc. - Today
